I'd love to start the game again but can't find a way to reset everything. I can delete my characters but there's still hundreds of items in my inventory when I make a new one. Am I missing the option or do I really have to delete these things one by one manually?

sound to me like someone is trying to delete someone else's stuff...

4 RepliesYou really can't pull a full reset in Destiny 1 or 2. The account has your history, so even doing a full delete of everything you have will just let you get everything you once had back except the EV items. All exotics will be in the Vault, all Emblems, all Currency. ETC.

Edited by zJDz: 7/6/2018 7:06:33 PMDon’t do it. Even if you delete every single thing and then your characters. Everything you have unlocked and completed will still be there because it is tied to your gamer tag and not your characters. What is the point of doing this? Only way to truly start fresh is to create a new gamer tag/Psn account/pc account. Creating a new account might mean you will have to buy the game again. Don’t do it. That is a waste of time. Everything is tied to your gamer tag/psn account/blizzard account. Even your crucible SBMM stats which are hidden. All of your characters KD ratio is averaged together even if you deleted 20 different characters. Don’t do it. I talk from experience. My titan is original. But I have deleted and recreated 10+ characters. At one point I had all three classes at 335. Then deleted warlock and hunter and had three titans, then deleted 2 titans and made a hunter. Just added a warlock back.

Delete everything or make an alt acccount

1 ReplyI know on D1 if you deleted all characters, before making a new one, it would completely reset the game for you as if you had never played. Not sure if it's the same for D2.

2 RepliesBecause your Bungie account is linked to your PSN account, and your saved data (eg. your inventory, stats, etc.) are secured via Bungie's servers, you would actually be required to suck Bungie's dick to have them delete your saved data. Okay, kidding aside....you will be required to create a new PSN account, which might entail purchasing the game again, unless it's on disc (rather than a download). It sucks, but Bungie is lame.

Start a new PSN or manually delete every item.
-
Make a guest acct on your console. It has access to all games and dlc on your console.

Is restarting a good idea so close before a new DLC? I think you should wait, only so you don't get left behind too much but your choice :)

Best to just create an alternate login. I’m not 100% sure but I think if the PlayStation is set to your original account as the owner, other accounts on that particular PlayStation will have rights to the previously purchased dlc. You would literally spend decades deleting your shaders if you wanted a true reboot.

5 RepliesI get that you want to restart, but keep all your high power stuff for use after the campaign......no sense grinding again
-
1 ReplyUninstall, forget it ever existed. Would be better for us all.

Setup a new console account and then you will get a brand new destiny account

If you want to restart, you have to make a new character. If you dont have a slot for a character avaiable, you will have to delete one of your characters. You do not need to delete all your items to do so.

On console you can simply create a new profile as the account is attached to that. Not sure why you'd do this though as all this will do is remove record of your exotics. You'll also (if you actually decide to get Forsaken) not have any of the stuff you've collected or had at the start of warmind. Some of these items will not be gettable again either. Things such as season ornaments and eververse items.
-
Delete everything you possibly can.
-
Start a new profile, otherwise you need to delete every item individually followed by your characters
-
mass deletion of stuff is not yet available, its too hard for the devs

There is no full account reset button. You can delete characters and empty your Vault (please note you can not delete all characters at once and need 1 character active in a active account) but your account will always have a game history which will affect the game. This is more so since may as Bungie are tracking items you find for the new Collections system due in Sept. The only true way is to start a new account.

Dunno about inventory, shaders n mods shouldn't matter anyway, or just try completely deleting the game and all save data maybe. Dunno lol.
