Sign here if you would like to see the Sleeper Catalyst become obtainable to those individuals who don't do the raids.
Edit: Just want to add raids should have specific gear and items, I have no problem with that. That gear should relate to the raid though. Like many others are saying, I agree that the Sleeper Catalyst has nothing to do with SOS. It should be found in wave 7 of EP.

3 RepliesLet's see if I can express this in the right way. I understand your point that Raids should have rewards tied to Raids and Sleeper is not really a Raid weapon. However, in my opinion it's a good thing that Bungie decided to put something desireable in the Prestige Raids. Maybe they could have chosen something different or create a new Raid exclusive exotic but this is a start to making end-game content relevant and worthwhile. D1 was a shining example of activity tied loot. Far as I'm concerned this a promising step in the right way. Unfortunately some of the comments immediately start ranting about not being able to obtain something and this alienates the solo players. Perhaps but this is the way it should be. Play how you want but some activities have specific loot. Raids, Nightfall, Trials, IB, etc. You don't want to play it that's fine but you should accept you won't get all the loot. I resent the notion that everything should be available to everyone in all ways. TL;DR OP has a point that Raid rewards should have some connection to said Raid but in my opinion it's good that Bungie put something we want in end-game loot.
