1 ReplyStop asking for more difficulty on a grind game. I am so tired of people asking for more difficulty. Go find a different game.
-
1 ReplyIron modifier is enough for countless randoms to avoid Heroic strikes. Sounds like increased difficulty to me. lol
-
1 ReplyI’ll say, when you were level 28 or 29 trying to survive the onslaught during the Oracles on VoG. That was difficult. Getting two tapped by hobgoblins or single hit face smashed by a minatour was a consistent threat during that fight sequence. I don’t know how, but VoG was just a perfect mix of difficult and fun without being ultra tedious.

We used to have powerful gear back in d1 year 1. But then Bungie heard the cries of people that didn't get gjallarhorn and were being excluded in the fight against skolas. Xur sold gjallarhorn after that but it was short lived. Gally was nerfed elemental primaries were taken away and the sponges came back in full force. People defended the changes saying only one loadout was used before but I used everything including kinetic weapons just to make the strikes a bit more challenging. Let's not forget how the bosses were designed. What other choice do you have when it was the nightfall with all burns and lightswitch. On top of that if you all wiped you were kicked to orbit. So with those modifiers plus bosses having a close range aoe attack and ads spawning around them forced you to use longer range weapons such as icebreaker, black hammer and a scout with a burn. The powerful weapons gave us the choice to either destroy the bosses in seconds or draw the fights out to last 10 minutes. Why did people really care about what we used in pve? It was pvp that made people complain the most imo.

It does increase difficulty but I know what you’re saying

Edited by IRaidWithAussies: 7/3/2018 7:01:04 AMTo be fair, in Division, you could build skill and weapon styles to shred those big health bars. 3 different sets of armor with different bonuses, or you could power your sticky bomb and one hit them. SO MANY different ways to bring the bad guys down Destiny has NONE of those customization options It's actually pretty pathetic
-
This is why I’m constantly pushing for buffs to weapons and abilities. Yellow bars I get. Red bars should never be bullet sponges.

3 Repliesboss enemies in a arcade\looter shooter with rpg elements they are supposed to be bullet sponges. and in division it did work. its a rpg first, shooter second. again with rpgs enimies are supposed to be bullet sponges.
-
Which enemy ( or activity ) are complaining about specifically? Isn’t that why we have the current de-buff modifiers that we have in Heroic Strike playlist, to make the enemies more difficult without making them bullet sponges.

3 RepliesValus ???
-
Technically...yes it does

Valus Ta'aurc?

This is the worst kind of crime developer can do. Trash mobs spongies. Yellows and bosses -ok, but reds - it is unforgivable. Remember red hive knights with shields on strike. I am 385 striker, this F... knight walks after super and few rockets, absolute crap. And those spongies on heroic adventures on mercury, god , who invented this uber unfunny things?
-
Thats the easier fastest way to give ppl something to do, instead of creating enemies exclusive to the event and that spawn along the normal enemies
-
Some context would be nice not to many enemies that are hard to kill tbh

16 RepliesI've been saying this since D1. Then they added Renown. I have a simple question... Why? Why make the enemies even worse bullet sponges than before? This is one of their "Creative Fixes" that fell short. It's Bungie being Bungie.
-
4 RepliesI take it you weren't around during the days of Rockets McDickface.

2 RepliesEdited by jcald--: 7/2/2018 9:39:00 PMIf enemies take more damage that does increase difficulty?, there are better ways but when you add to many mechanics players complain....Remember they removed the simple jumping puzzle at the end of the first mission?

1 ReplyIt can in the right circumstance. Remember Protheon in the Beta or Brakyon when D2 first released compared to the way they are now? If theyhe had more health for the final phase, there actually would be a final phase again.
