There needs to be a setting to auto dismantle blues. I’m sick and tired of my postmaster getting over run with blues especially when I have legendaries sitting there that I haven’t removed yet. For example, I’m on Mars doing patrols and the like for sleeper. I’m out of room on my person and I look in the app to see I have like 6 legendaries sitting in my vault from rewards. Cool I think. I go back to the tower to see my vault over run with the blues I left on the ground and all the legendaries gone.
Now, you might say “it’s your fault. You are a pack rat”. And you are right but wouldn’t you like a way to auto dismantle blues? After a certain point they automatically become weapon parts anyway. No one uses them for anything other than that. Without this setting dismantling them is just another time consuming procedure we have to deal with. We need a setting we can toggle that lets us automatically turn blues to weapon parts on drop. Do it so they don’t have to be in inventory. Engram drops and BOOM weapon parts.

It's been another 2 years and still no loot filter/auto-salvage.

Great idea! It's been nearly 2 years since this has been posted but I would really appreciate such a setting. I came to this thread via a Google search on how to auto dismantle, cause it takes so much time to just manage your vault space. Would be amazing if there was a setting with a combined filter to auto dismantle. Like a filter to auto dismantle items x-levels below your gear level, and a filter for type? (type=rare, legendary, etc). Maybe even go as far as a filter for the amount of trait points (mobility, strength, etc) combined as that is kind of the only thing I look for endgame.

I totally agree with this.

Edited by c0ntagion: 7/2/2018 9:06:48 PMI'm fine with this, but do note that at 385 light blues can drop at 380 light.

When rare weapons and gear look and feel better than legendary gear :(

3 RepliesNah, inventory management is part of the game in looters. Blues are fine

hopefully random rolls will mean engrams are important again, as at the moment (unless you are new to the game) standard engram drops just get deleted. Once you have a set of gear you like, theres not much point in looking at anything else

But you get 380 blues sometimes when you're 380 base light. You would have to rely on legendary weapons and armor only if you had auto dismantle blues.

5 RepliesSome high level gear drops as blues

Edited by Jonnnys: 7/2/2018 9:11:00 AMI’d like an auto dismantle all armour, engram and weapon drops. I’ve stopped decrypting engrams months ago. I just delete them straight from my inventory which is annoying seems you end up with a shit ton of them from a couple hours play. Nothing to play for.

Edited by Rayven1172: 7/2/2018 2:26:32 AMHoping people show this idea more love. Come on, blues are annoying after a certain point. A setting to let me auto dismantle blues would save time and valuable space in your inventory. If the reason this setting is not in the game is because of the fear of item inflation. That by spamming blues you can remove items from the game through the post master, I would counter with the fact that there is no trading in Destiny 2. I had to come up with the idea above to explain to myself why this setting does not already exist as there is no real reason why this isn’t in the game already.

But... The cuboid aru is beast...

Interesting dilemma, never had this problem so I cannot really speak for it being helpful. It is highly unlikely they would implement such a feature, as such I would suggest learning to adjust your methodology.
