Once I hit 385 on one of my characters, I started to turn in all the faction tokens (Vanguard, Arcology, etc.) in the hopes that the engrams they rewarded me would be 380, and I could infuse some of my lower gear to give me more options when choosing my equipment. It looks like different factions drop engrams at different light levels. Failsafe was awarding 380 engrams, and Lakshmi-2 has been during the faction rally, but Sloane would give me 375, and Ana Bray would give me 378. Banshee gave me 380 for a day and then I guess he changed his mind, and opted for 379 now. Is there something I'm missing or do these engrams just drop at random light levels?

2 RepliesIt rotates all the time. I believe there is a website that updates which vendor has the engrams at whatever lvl.

All 50 of my engrams dropped me 380/385 gear.

The key is to turn in tokens to a vendor and if the engram doesn’t say 380 when you hover over it, don’t pick it up. Come back later and it will have a different #. They change every 30 minutes. I get notifications from @VendorEngrams on Twitter to keep track of which vendors are dropping 380 gear.

Each vender randomly rotates (30 minutes for destinations and 4 hours for the Tower) the power of their engrams for max power players. Destiny 2 Vender Engrams (https://vendorengrams.xyz) uses crowd sourced information to track the power level of these engrams, including Faction vendors.

Maybe I am just lucky but all of my packages have been 380 on my hunter.
