400 in prestige raid only??? Seriously??? You're locking player's progress behind one type of activity? Great. Buy your DLC yourself.

Ubisoft's "The Division" lost 2/3 its playerbase because of too many restrictions for players. Now, you doing the same thing. P.S. I just don't understand - why do you insistently cutting solo players off your game?

  • Chill out. That whole thing is just a little tease to keep the hardest of the hardcore busy this summer. We get 400 weapons through the prestige raids on July 17th and a 400 gear through the Solstice of Heroes starting July 31st. At that point, Forsaken will ONE MONTH AWAY. That's it. Come September, you'll reach 400 in a matter of hours, if not minutes. So again: chill out.

    • What reason would you need 400 if you are not running prestige raids?

    • What I don't get is why isn't everyone having to wait until dlc to get anything over 385 light? Raiders already whine they hit light level too fast, so bungie just makes it faster? Bungo makes no sense anymore. They tried nerfing the leveling system, which didn't work out for trials and raiders. Maxed in two weeks. Everyone else suffered because of this bs move. This company just keeps digging a bigger hole for itself........

Do you even understand what they are talking about? Your doing the Hardest End Game they offer with Specified Load-outs for a chance at a 400 Weapon. Even if you have all of the weapon slots filled after doing Prestige multiple times your Maximum Light level will only be 391 with no mods and 393 with mods if they allow them vs 385. http://jpwilsondesigns.com/destiny2/powercalculator/ Everybody who plays Foresaken will be higher than that within a few days of doing the Campaign alone. I myself who does Raid might do it and might not. Just depends on how ridiculous they make it. I'll just weight the is it worth my time and effort for a 6Light Level jump. Lol

    • You guys seriously need to stop with the solo player BS. You act like it's the same thing as race. If you want to get to 400, Do the raid lairs. You see that button up there that says "Find Fireteam" Click it, make a team, go get your stuff.

      • I don’t see what the problem is. I’d be happy to jump back into Prestige Leviathan, since I only have 3 completions. Now there’s going to be a reason to do so. If you don’t raid, then oh well. The only valid argument I see is that raiders will have an advantage once Forsaken comes out. The new cap is going to be 600 power level.

        • Zandobob already said it perfectly but just to add my two cents, that's exactly how i should be. the LL should matter (right now it doesn't seem to all that much) and the only way to be max LL is from end game activities( raid and trials) i should not be able to hit max LL just from completing my weeklies.

        • The 400 ll weapons are to tide you over till warmind, thus they're only in Prestige raids. I'm assuming Bungie's logic is that it's the hardcore guys who worry about hitting max light right away (I never hit max light before warmind came out, haven't hit it yet either), so they can be at 400ll as soon as Forsaken drops. Once Forsaken drops they'll probably raise it to 400 for everyone, 600 for peeps with the DLC. "why do you insistently cutting solo players off your game?" They aren't. Destiny has never been a solo player game in the first place, literally every single trailer and poster I've ever seen is multiple guardians fighting/dancing/getting loot together as a Fireteam. It's always been heavily marketed as a multiplayer game, one to go be awesome with your friends and destroy badguys. I haven't seen any marketing material that would make you think this was a game aimed at solo players. I know getting a team together for the raid can take a while and be a pain sometimes, but it can be done, and IMO it's worth it. But then I'm the kind of guy who enjoys doing stuff with others, if the raid isn't that amazing it doesn't matter, I can have fun with my buddies and some random (who are usually pretty cool).

        • I think this is just to get people to try the raid lairs... which it wont get me too do. It will only matter for a month or so until forsaken comes out, anyways.

        • You don’t need max light to the anything... And even as PvP player i know the end game of this game was meant to be the raids... so of course beating them at their hardest difficulty is what’ll get you the highest level shit...

I get much of the criticism thrown at Bungie but if you're not doing end game activities why do you need to be or expect Bungie to provide you with ways to obtain 400 gear? I want Redrix's Claymore but am a solo player who hates no radar PVP and I'm not throwing a tantrum about not being given an easier path to get it. No tickie, no laundry.. 🤔

So, let me get this right. Bungie spends millions of dollars developing high end cooperative content so that players of a massively multi-player game can do stuff together... and you, entitled, self-important solo player, get bent out of shape about it? You do realize that this is just a temporary "gift" to players who undertake the endgame? That this 15 point light level advantage means absolutely nothing in crucible, hardly anything at all in single player... does not effect you whatsoever... and gets totally washed away when the fall DLC goes live. In other words, you are throwing a fit over a meaningless reward for the simple fact that you choose not to play the game as it was intended to be played? By the same breath, would you get mad that you did not get an A on a math test after you didn't study? Or be angry that you didn't make the baseball team because you didn't practice? Or couldn't play guitar because you never bothered to pick up one? Its a game, its structure is clearly laid and you choose on your own to devise some arbitrary restrictions for how you play. And the rest of us are doing it wrong because you aren't happy about the rewards we get for doing hard things.

              • If you’re not prestige raiding what do you need 15 extra light levels for? And the summer event will drop armor up to 400 anyway. And then 4 weeks later the dlc drops and the soft cap will be over 500 anyway so you will blow past 400 in your first story mission...

              • Once again the issue bungie has is options. There should be a variety of approaches to power. A lot of MMOs have done it. Bungie needs variety across the board. More gear that is strike and nightfall exclusive. More options in crucible, 3vs3, 6vs6 and 4vs4 with gamemodes should be on the table. A proper horde mode, how this has not happened yet is beyond me. Ep doesn't count. I want 3 to 6 guys on a random map fighting for their lives against enemies. No puzzles, no side quest, just survive. Bungie needs more options snd variety, Max light should be capable in a few areas. Raids being the fastest but most challenging content and so on. I'd love it if they did a solo raid. I think Curse of Osiris opened a possible door with that. Having a weekly thing where go into the forest and it's all messed up with a variety of enemies. Hell for awhile those heroic missions in the forest solo were the hardest thing to do in the game lol. Variety bungie, variety and options
