6 Replies1. So many other games provide match making for end game content why not Destiny 2? 2. Isn't match making just another form of a LFG? 3. Didn't Bungie receive 500 million from Activision to produce the Destiny franchise? Then I realized that this is Bungie's game and they don't care about bringing Guardians together so i answered the 3 questions myself. 1. There is no reason why Destiny can't have match making for end game material just make it optional. 2. Yes, the match making algorithm is in the game currently. 3. Yes and they used this money to create a match making algorithm. REMEMBER FANBOYS, If you support no match making for end game content you support: LUKE SMITH His decision

3 RepliesEdited by Kontonno: 6/28/2018 5:18:50 PMApparently it's part of bungo design philosophy. - A social game with no social hub. - A MMOlight with no end game. - A shooter with PVP but stunted multiplayer variety. - A game that entirely relies on content but you can go months without new meaningful things to do. - A team based shooter with limited match making. - A game that still, in 2018, it STILL needs third party apps for group finding. If you're a long time, dedicated Destiny player, you're suffering from a strange form battered wife syndrome.

8 RepliesEdited by N00bMaster69: 6/28/2018 10:51:24 AMI don't understand why so many people find the idea of "optional" matchmaking so impossible, if you want to make a team go for it, if you want to take the risk of MM then go for it. How does having the option there negatively affect anyone?
-
36 RepliesPeople who disagree with Raid matchmaking are the ones who want others with 20 clears, want the easiest roles in the raid, and can't bother to teach anyone. They also don't know what patience is.

Maybe a door,,,without a house.

Well you can build a house with out a door, I’d say it’s more like building a house with out any nails

1 ReplyFor nightfall and EP, for sure. For raids? hell no. They're an activity designed around having a coordinated group of 6 communicating players, not some 6 man strike shit where coordination isn't necessary because there are no mechanics. If they added raid matchmaking just watch all the solo players start complaining how hard raids are and Bungie would respond slowly dumbing them down. The only thing that doesn't make sense is why you can't literally just use the LFG on the site which takes like 2 minutes.

For what?

defenestrate means to throw someone out a window. Was this something that happened so frequently that someone say We need a word for this"?

My brother finds raids nearly every day using PS4 community lfg. It's not hard.

10 RepliesMatchmaking nf for nightfall- good idea, but who sets the modifiers? Matchmaking for raids - so many issues that need to be addressed. How would you feel about doing SOS with one or two people who don’t want to join party chat? Can you boot them? What if you get matched with a group that has never done the raid? What do you do if a guy is away from his Xbox/PlayStation? Would you be happy if you get matched with a few players that are well below the light level? There are so many posts on this forum about people being matched in crucible with bad players or players doing their own thing and getting killed. The salt would be worse in relation to raids which require teamwork. If bungie introduce raid matchmaking please don’t jump on the forums about how you keep getting matched with shit players.

1 ReplyWhat makes less sense is why every MMO on console has a freaking chat box, this has one on PC, yet they can put the damn thing on console.
-
You just need 5 other people to make a human ladder to climb in the open window. We are breaking into their houses and killing them, after all.
-
Put matchmaking for everything except Raids and The Nightfall.
-
Raids 110% need everyone to be communicating. In a situation where if just one person dying could cause the entire team to wipe you need to have communication. In almost every strike I have ever gone into with randoms o can't remember a single occasion where another player was using a Mic. I wouldn't want to see raids dumbed down for solo players and the way they are set up at the moment a team of random players would be a nightmare. Having said that, if that's what you want to do, why should anyone stop you. Optional matchmaking as the name suggests is optional and hurts no one. EVERYTHING else should have some form of matchmaking. It makes no sense that I can go into a heroic strike solo and be matched with a group and then be excluded from a nightfall with exactly the same mechanics. Quests that require a team to be completed or restricting max level to teams only is cynical at best.

5 RepliesEdited by TheWagn: 6/28/2018 3:12:19 PMpeople with no mics would be a problem would need a vote kick system salt would rain on the forums no thanks. use the lfg feature on the app on a third party site. Takes literally 5-10 mins to find a group. If you can’t be bothered to do that I shudder to think what menial contribution you would offer to a raid team. This is not a new concept. Thank you 1 millionth person to post this thread.

A in-game lfg would fix alot of issues, most mmos have no problem with this, just got to give ppl the chance to make groups in game to practice or find like minded ppl.

1 ReplyGuided Games is a complete joke and despite their statements, I’m starting to believe that Bungo is proud of the fact that they have single-digit participation and completion rates for the raids and competitive PvP activities. Especially seeing as they keep doubling down by not introducing in-game mechanisms for grouping and communications, yet still adding more and more in-demand items these activities. In the end, I hope this “doorless house” rights itself on these basics before it’s too late for them.
-
And clearly they gave up on GG to the point where it’s not mentioned at all, that thing only works if you are already in a clan, but as a solo player good luck finding 2 others, much less 3, 4 or 5.

I have felt that the normal raid can have optional mm but with certain restrictions. 1. Mic required. 2. Matches with your language. 3. MM shouldn't launch same week as raid. Wait a month or so then put it in or until prestige comes out. Which for Eater would be a while. Again. Optional People will say LFG or bust. I have a feeling the majority of those people have never kept on trying to post and kept posting and couldn't get a team together after trying numerous times.
-
So some of you people not found the Game Hub yet? Works for me all the time. That is to find a team you do get some bad ones but at least these are people that really want to play usually. But I guess I consider this option in game

1 Reply"Bungie..." "What?" "Where's the matchmaking?" "It goes right there, see, I drew it with a TWaB..." "You were supposed to code it in with the release!" "Dude I'm gonna..." "Oh really?!" "Yes!" "So go patch the game." "Okay, I will!" *Error code: Weasel* "...I see the problem now." "Oh do ya?!"
-
So you get matchmaking..n first raid you're matched with a group where no one has done or not completed a raid... ummm chaos
