Just why are the faction crates in the lost sectors still around?
Seriously you don't get anything for destroying them anymore , so why does Bungie still have them around during faction rally ?

Yeah I just use them as explosives to AE kill trash mobs.

The faction crates are there because they made it more challenging. If you or anyone else notice, you actually die because of the "Architects". In other words, there are there to make sure you lose more renown.

The same reason the polaris lance quest line makes you play a vanilla mission including the cutscene again: laziness.

I think they have been left intentionally, I'm 99% sure some of the lost sectors have a lot more of these crates than before the faction changes so maybe it's just considered an added thing in there that you can use (or die against, as happened to me earlier when I jumped over one by accident as it got shot by the boss lol)
