during my travels through groups and groups of ep runs to get all 3 sets of armour, the worldline catalyst and 3 ep shottys and the rest of the guns, i have heard multiple times "slova is best" and "vortex is better" basically, noone -blam!-ing knows and halfway through my weekly grind i just started to say -blam!- it ill stay slova all the time as its my personal favorite tree mainly because of the overcharged grenades, even if someone in the group who believed that vortex was better said "someone has slova on, change NOW" i just would say nothing and continue using slova as i didn't give a -blam!- and it clearly doesn't matter in the long run which one you use.

My question is why did vortex make it in D2, but not the tripple nova bomb?

Cataclysm does 25% more damage from what they tested....and that is including the DoT from votex. Vortex is only good if you want to nuke the center of a group of enemies....because cataclysm tracks the first target.
