What does Ana Brays sex life have to do with saving the galaxy from the Darkness?

Look, I have zero concern about anyone's personal choices or sex life. What anyone does in bed is their business, but two comics in a row devoted mostly to Ana Bray's lesbian kiss, instead of telling us more about the eternal war we are waging against power enemies and the Darkness?!!?!!!!!!!!!!!!! Give me a f'n break. Take you SJW BS and your poor substitute for good stories and lore that are relevant to the Destiny universe, and burn it. PLEASE, and do it quickly. This crap is killing the fun behind the game. Our guardian has no voice, the lore is ignored and constantly reconned in the most insulting way, and now, two issues of a web comic that could have told us so much about Xol, Nokris, Rasputin, and THE GD TRAVELER, WHICH HASN'T SAID OR DONE ONE TINY THING SINCE IT ALLEGEDLY WOKE UP AND SHOT A BEAM OF LIGHT AND ENERGY TO THE ENDS OF THE GALAXY. Oh, wait. We have a litter problem from all the pieces that got blasted off of the Traveler by the Ghaul, but the GREAT MACHINE, the one that can terraform entire galaxies can't even repair itself. THIS IS ALL JUST SO SAD. Your comic a bad soft core porn at best and have totally ignored everything the community wants to know about the universe we play in. GREAT JOB AS USUAL, BUNGIE. • Meh, it was only another pitch at political correctness, completely irrelevant to the story. Fairly unnecessary as there hasn't been any development or emphasis on relationships for any in game characters. Heck, there hasn't been any characters' development in the game at all. Still find them all as flat as the cardboard vendors they all end up becoming. Seemed out of context and forced to me. I have no interest in knowing who Arach Jalaal's girlfriend is either...

I think the problem is actually pretty simple but some people just don't understand why it upsets people, and I think it comes down to two things: 1) when it comes to Women in games or movies (Battlefield is getting hate, Star Wars etc) For me it's a general sense that people don't care about the WHO, they care about the WHY and the How, Star Wars for example, (the Who) No one cares that Rey is a woman that's fine, the BS is that she's better, faster, stronger than everyone BECAUSE she's a woman..that's not ok..(The WHY and HOW) Now, you say "Rey is luke's daughter" AH OK, that's why she's a good pilot, That's why she's strong with the force....look at that, now every things ok. Battlefield, Women in the game..(the Who) Ok, "I can play as a woman in Fortnight why can't I play as a woman in Battlefront?....You're right you should be able to"...It's pretty common knowledge that women didn't fight on the front lines of basically ANY battle of WWII so adding them in a faux realistic game just because "it's time" is a dumb way to go about it. and you're gonna piss of quite a few people. (The Why and How) OK, now if you want to add a few levels in the campaign about the fighting women in the French and Polish resistance, or the Russian women's Tank and Sniper divisions, who really did fight in WWII, NOW you have absolute right and historic reason to add them, and no one will care. 2) The sex life of characters, for this I think it's a simple..if a character is MADE gay, straight, WHATEVER fine, who cares...However if you make them one thing or another LATER for "societal" reasons, then you have an issue (Superman...Superman and Lois Lane have been a thing for..as far as i can remember (I don't read super hero comics) so after some odd 40+ years NOW you want to make him gay...You're gonna lose a LOT of fans) Don't change what you already have, just make a different character and you can make them how ever you want with no issue. The other end is how often you push it, if you play it completely casual, a typical normal ass relationship of the everyday..who cares? Mostly no one, but if you constantly make it apparent, feel the need to remind people as frequently and as often as possible and put it in as very center piece and core of the character and it's always getting brought up and it get's to the point where that's ALL the character is about..People are just going to see it as annoying and it's going to be more off putting than accepted. From what I see, people are upset about...well pretty much everything because writers, directors, creators are adding and changing things to fit a political reasoning, just throwing it in because "it's time" none of it is natural and it's completely out of place, forced in and everyone can see it...IF you're going to add things, do it from the start not later, make it natural and not forced and make sure it fits so it doesn't come from freaking left field nowhere and don't make their orientation the focal point of the entire character...People want to be entertained, not constantly reminded about politics....Yeah I wanna watch Die Hard not for the action, drama or suspense..screw that, I want to watch it for the political reasons of how Christmas should be abolished because terrorists always attack on it.

    • I am inclined to agree. My acid test on the subject is, if it had been a straight romance, would we have felt the same way. I say yes. Romance has its place, but not to the exclusion of lore about this amazing universe.

Dude! I got soooooo excited... ...when we got to see like a single fricken page (or two) that showed us Twilight Gap. And it was very underwhelming. Sigh. Their comics suck.

These are the same writers that ruined Marvel Comics for the last 3 years and tanked their sales. Nobody gave a shit about this stuff 10 years ago. We treated everyone the same. We didn't treat them like they're special for being a certain demographic. I have zero hope for this franchise's story if this is the kind of crap they produce.

            • The comics were quite a let down. The entirety of each comic could have been summed up in a single frame. There was nothing gleaned from them except for the weak excuse why Ana was presumed dead. Nothing explained. Nothing added. Just a couple minutes of looking at pretty pictures.

              • I've no issue with Ana's sexuality but in a franchise that's suffering so badly with its history an story being trashed they should be putting effort into repairing that rather then forcing current mainstream news issues into a space phantasy game.

                • I do agree with you and what I’m taking from all this is that Bungie is trying to show support for PRIDE MONTH because... A. Bungie is located in Seattle and the gay community is pretty big thing here B. They just want everyone to feel welcome.

                • Nothing. I think the whole webcomic thing would have been a good idea, if the comic and lore behind it where actually good. But it is not. Sorry. Maybe bungie thought it will get them some money or its good advertisement related to the publics view. Providing a positive perception for the lgtb population. Which i dont mind and i think its cool. What i and i think most guardians agree is that given how D2 launched, CoO and Warmind overall quality its absurd bungie spends a single dollar and a single minute on anything unrelated to the games quality. I know bungie has many divisions, departments and what not. But what pays everyones job at bungie is the game , not comis, not plush toys or Tshirts. The game. So in my opinion nobody will care about about the comic as long as the PRIORITY ( the game ) goes back to D1 quality OR if its actually good. Not this recicled, retconed , childish and boring webcomics. I respect people actually liking the comic everyone has the right to like or dislike something. In my opinion they suck and as i said, not a single dollar nor minute should be spend on nothing other than the game, at least for now.

                • Nothing, but teen age boys will get off on it and it might, maybe, help sell the game to people of alternate sexual preference. In other words it is a shitty marketing ploy.

I totally agree, It seems like its virtue signaling, I made a video on this topic which I linked above just because its on this exact thing. No one cares that she's a lesbian, its that the story is "she's a lesbian". Also we have to ask "why" in todays politically charged world, Is it to improve the story or to pander to a very small minority of Snowflakes who attack gaming studios for sexism, toxic masculinity, and a slue of other insane labels that are not just ridiculous that everyone should pushback against. Personally I think this could simply be a little back piece of her story with no political agenda, but it certainly feels like its cringey, preachy, and just not a story the fans want. We want lore, impactful details of the story we love, not 12 panels of make out sessions.
