What does Ana Brays sex life have to do with saving the galaxy from the Darkness?
Look, I have zero concern about anyone's personal choices or sex life. What anyone does in bed is their business, but two comics in a row devoted mostly to Ana Bray's lesbian kiss, instead of telling us more about the eternal war we are waging against power enemies and the Darkness?!!?!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Give me a f'n break. Take you SJW BS and your poor substitute for good stories and lore that are relevant to the Destiny universe, and burn it. PLEASE, and do it quickly.
This crap is killing the fun behind the game. Our guardian has no voice, the lore is ignored and constantly reconned in the most insulting way, and now, two issues of a web comic that could have told us so much about Xol, Nokris, Rasputin, and THE GD TRAVELER, WHICH HASN'T SAID OR DONE ONE TINY THING SINCE IT ALLEGEDLY WOKE UP AND SHOT A BEAM OF LIGHT AND ENERGY TO THE ENDS OF THE GALAXY. Oh, wait. We have a litter problem from all the pieces that got blasted off of the Traveler by the Ghaul, but the GREAT MACHINE, the one that can terraform entire galaxies can't even repair itself. THIS IS ALL JUST SO SAD.
Your comic a bad soft core porn at best and have totally ignored everything the community wants to know about the universe we play in. GREAT JOB AS USUAL, BUNGIE.

1 ReplyMaybe if Ana hinted at the fact that she had a secret lover in game it would have made the fact that she liked the ladies relevant and a surprise in the comic. But since we didn’t get any of that in the actual game, it made her being a lesbian irrelevant and didn’t add anything to her character. I dont mind her love interest being another woman WHATSOEVER, but the comic just felt meh over all. Her love interest definitely felt like more of the focus, and less of how she found out Rasputin was on mars.

Telling us anything significant about the actual lore would require them to know something about it themselves. They never knew what the darkness actually was...so they scrapped it. They still don't know what the Traveller is, and it's the symbol for the freaking fiction. Making it up as they go. It's pathetic.

1 ReplyThe problem is not the content of her relationship itself, it’s the fact that it does absolutely nothing to advance the story. Just like every other plot point of destiny you have to stop and ask, “what’s the point?” That’s how you know the story is bad.

I just found it funny how there was more emphasis put on her relationship with a character that I wtill dont understand the point of, then there was as to how she died but eidnt die and then found sputy boi. I dunno, maybe it's just because the comic is so short, but I honestly think it woulda been better without the other character. Especially seeing as I dont understand whybshe wouldnt have just turned ana in...there is non way she didnt recognise ana straight up. I dont care if they are space lesbians. As a side note though, no wonder humanity is so close to extinction. Everyone's either gay or a lesbian!

Your post is worded wrong however you’re not completely wrong nor completely right. The comics this one especially is giving us a better understanding of Ana’s character and backstory however it does seem that stories’ are a bit too heavily focused on Ana and Camrin’s love story and not on her whole finding her place in the world and learning about her family. There isn’t anything wrong with having a love story, I actually think it’s great cause it adds more depth to the character. But you are right in the sense that the scale is tipped slightly too far towards her love life and not her backstory. The reason why the comics aren’t good and are instead (like the rest of destiny’s narrative) mediocre is because of bad writing. It’s not terrible it’s a clear story but like the rest of destiny none of it feels truly meaningful and the characters feel shallow, not because there’s a love story involved or kissing (which who really gives a damn kissing ain’t nothin new) but because they aren’t really developing anything it’s like your buddy trying to tell you a story but they don’t remember all the details. “Oh man it was crazy! First she died! But she didn’t really die she faked her death, then she went to this library I think and met this chick and then some other stuff happened and they went to mars and then some more stuff happened and then they went home and they kissed cause they’re like in love or something man!”

If it was a better story I think it would have been alright. But it just seems the kiss was there so we could bitch about the kiss rather than the lacklustre story. It just reeks of "using shiny objects to draw our attention away" like using Cayde-6's death so that we could bitch about that rather than the other issues in the game.

It is character building , it shows that ANA is not a robot, that she cares about something, and has suffered adversity and personal loss. And character building is a important to the universe and story because if you didn't care about the characters in the story , you wouldn't care what happens in that story And it's an attempt the show her charachter has human emotions and concerns, and is not just a talking slot machine like most other NPCs in Destiny I am not defending Bungies half assed story telling, I am just explaining why losing someone they love is an important part of a characters story

2 RepliesIn my Opinion, it's not her preference that they care about, more so it's the fact that a LORE book was more of a "look! I have a Girlfriend!" Book. I could care less but there was less lore than there was her chatting with her GF.
