Look, I have zero concern about anyone's personal choices or sex life. What anyone does in bed is their business, but two comics in a row devoted mostly to Ana Bray's lesbian kiss, instead of telling us more about the eternal war we are waging against power enemies and the Darkness?!!?!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Give me a f'n break. Take you SJW BS and your poor substitute for good stories and lore that are relevant to the Destiny universe, and burn it. PLEASE, and do it quickly.
This crap is killing the fun behind the game. Our guardian has no voice, the lore is ignored and constantly reconned in the most insulting way, and now, two issues of a web comic that could have told us so much about Xol, Nokris, Rasputin, and THE GD TRAVELER, WHICH HASN'T SAID OR DONE ONE TINY THING SINCE IT ALLEGEDLY WOKE UP AND SHOT A BEAM OF LIGHT AND ENERGY TO THE ENDS OF THE GALAXY. Oh, wait. We have a litter problem from all the pieces that got blasted off of the Traveler by the Ghaul, but the GREAT MACHINE, the one that can terraform entire galaxies can't even repair itself. THIS IS ALL JUST SO SAD.
Your comic a bad soft core porn at best and have totally ignored everything the community wants to know about the universe we play in. GREAT JOB AS USUAL, BUNGIE.

What does Ana Brays sex life have to do with saving the galaxy from the Darkness?
Bungie did this to send the message to all the pre-pubescent nerds who keep calling her "Ana Bae" that she's not interested in them in the hopes that they calm down.
-
Wait a min. Ana kissed a girl. Danm that's some hot shit. Doesn't really have a place in the game but yeah I wana see that. How bout her the queen and petra jello wrestling. Ok don't care if she made out with a cabal. I think the problem people have isn't if she is gay or even a tranny it that they feel it has no place in the story. Like you read it and go ok who cares I am not concerned about her sex life I want to know how she became a badass and stuff that pertains to the game and story. Unless she hooks up with petra or the queen or eris later on why do we care. I can see it now. In d3 you can be a transgender guardian. Lol..

-is fine with people's sexuality- -starts screaming about sjws- I can understand your desire for more lore. But you went about addressing your complaints in such a wrong way. I choose to take it as Ana is going to be more important than simply "warmind character #3" Either that or because they decided to write her back from the dead they're giving her back round so she's someone to us.
-
Agreed. Unfortunately Destiny is becoming another platform for SJWs to push there agenda onto people. I can’t watch a movie, tv show, or play a game nowadays without the poison that is the SJW movement ruining it for me. Games and other entertainment mediums should remain politically neutral. Real life has enough of that BS without the entertainment industry turning everything they make into another platform to force there views onto people. Remain neutral to controversial issues. This is a game. Not a political platform. Leave political correctness and other nonsensical philosophies to real life. Let us just enjoy our escape from reality without being forced to see its ugly face in-game.

9 Repliesy'all are just cranky cause you're homophobes lmao
-
10 RepliesSimple question for you: would you have written this post if Ana kissed a man? You don’t have to answer, just think about it. It sounds like you want more lore, which is fine, but what does this kiss have to do with that? I thought about writing a similar post, but I was more focused on the childish typo in the fourth tile, and the cringeworthy dialogue. “That was really... great.” “Yeah. Great.” I thought, “man this is bad writing” But, I never once thought, “this is bad writing, and why are there lesbians?!” Similarly, if you start a lot of thoughts with, “I’m not racist, but...” then I have bad news for you - probably racist.

Edited by Sprouted Quinoa: 6/25/2018 5:14:28 PMThe in-game writers don't do a great job of presenting Ana Bray as a haunted, obsessive figure who's been exiled from the Vanguard for digging too deeply into old secrets. Theoretically she's 1) been around a loooong time; 2) obsessed with learning more about her own past and how she fit in with Bray/Rasputin (by virtue of being one of the few guardians to have been resurrected with her golden age ID badge still intact and on her person); and 3) figuring out how to leverage her past into learning who she could be now and how she might fit in with Rasputin/the Vanguard now. Those are some very real, very adult problems that somebody obviously had the writing chops to set up, and then failed to execute on, spectacularly. And then the comic comes in and introduces new folklore with no tie in to lore or what happened in game. Even that horrible Osiris comic series did a slightly better job.

6 Replies"Your comic a bad soft core porn at best" AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Nah bruh, this isn't porn in any way, hell, peeps kiss in PG rated movies. And while I disliked the first Ana Bray comic, it was because she didn't really do anything cool, basically almost drowned and had some boring flashbacks. The second one actually had kinda cewl lore showing how she faked her death at the Twilight Gap in order to track down Ra Ra Rasuptin, and how she met her bae and they did all this research (also why she has links to Owl Sector). So yes, the first one was just bleh because the only thing that actually happened was a kiss, in this one there was actually cool stuff so I have 0 problems with her kissing her GF (honestly, if you can't get over that nowadays you need to hide in a bunker and read books for the rest of your life).

2 RepliesThis game and this company are now officially a sad joke. It makes me sad that many of us invested so much into D1 only to be confronted with this BS. I tried hard to like this game. But I just do not. For more reasons than the gay stuff and keyboard warrior crap. Its just bad.

This has become such a politically charged thread, its quite funny to read through.
I love being open minded, unaffiliated & unafraid of the future.
Look, I have zero concern about anyone's personal choices or sex life.
Obviously you do or you wouldn't have made a topic about it.
two comics in a row devoted mostly to Ana Bray's lesbian kiss
There was more than just a kiss. It showed how she faked her death and the lead up to her going to mars. The last comic showed how she survived her fall into the water and still had her cape. Two things people were DEMANDING to know until they saw women kissed - suddenly those stories were utterly irrelevant and bungie should only tell entirely different stories.
instead of telling us more about the eternal war we are waging against power enemies and the Darkness?
Last time people were bitching and moaning that we didn't learn how she survived, now you're bitching we're not learning about "the darkness" - it's almost like your sole issue is the fact that there are two women kissing and not the actual content of the comic given how these goalposts keep shifting.
Give me a f'n break.
No. Grow the -blam!- up.
Take you SJW BS and your poor substitute for good stories and lore that are relevant to the Destiny universe, and burn it. PLEASE, and do it quickly.
Frankly, I'm starting to hope the next comic is nothing but ten pages of random gays kissing just to piss you chuds off.
This crap is killing the fun behind the game.
Oh no! Women kissed! Fun is ruined FOREVER!
Our guardian has no voice
And hasn't since year 3 of Destiny.
the lore is ignored and constantly reconned in the most insulting way
Destiny 2's writing has been garbage since the beginning when they decided "whoops all your stuff has been lost in the attack. Remember that promise to bring your guardian over? Sorry!" was acceptable.
two issues of a web comic that could have told us so much about
It's focusing on Ana Bray. Who has been the focal point of this DLC since it's trailer. Answering questions like how she survived and how she got to mars.
Xol, Nokris, Rasputin, and THE GD TRAVELER, WHICH HASN'T SAID OR DONE ONE TINY THING SINCE IT ALLEGEDLY WOKE UP AND SHOT A BEAM OF LIGHT AND ENERGY TO THE ENDS OF THE GALAXY.
Perhaps one day they will tell those stories. You are not the writers, you don't get to dictate what they write about, however.
We have a litter problem from all the pieces that got blasted off of the Traveler by the Ghaul, but the GREAT MACHINE, the one that can terraform entire galaxies can't even repair itself.
That's not an entirely alien concept in fiction, the idea of something capable of great power and acts being unable to affect its self has been a fairly traditional weakness.
THIS IS ALL JUST SO SAD.
And yet instead of actually providing feedback or criticism you're just demanding that they should be pandering to you, personally.
Your comic a bad soft core porn at best
If a single panel kiss is "soft core porn" to you, then that's, in your own words "just so sad".
and have totally ignored everything the community wants to know about the universe we play in.
They, now, have answered two question the community had previously been demanding to know about right up until they saw lesbians were involved. I don't know how fast you think comics are produced, but it's not instantly.
GREAT JOB AS USUAL, BUNGIE.
I'm usually the first person to shit on bungie; but your reactionary childish hate is basic brain shit. I reiterate myself; grow the -blam!- up.

Posted this on response to another person in your thread, feel free to apply it to yourself as well.
You're a mind controlled pawn with ZERO concept of reality. You don't deal with anything everyday except your own bigotry and hatred. If Camrin were swapped out for any male character in the Destiny universe no one would be saying anything. The fact that any same-sex relationship in games, movies, tv, etc elicits this response from people like you shows nothing but your ignorance. SJW? Look in the mirror. This is just two people in a comic story and you're losing your mind with hatred and bigotry. Wake up.
9 RepliesWhy do you care? It has zero bearing on the game. If the comics didn't exist, literally NOTHING in the game changes.
-
3 RepliesWow, this thread exposing the ugly underbelly of the members of this forum.
-
Didnt you know we have to have a gay, pansexual, or what the -blam!- ever people are into in EVERY thing nowadays? We cant have more lore about things that matter. We have to have peoples dumbass personal life shit shoved down our throats.
-
It's funny. All the whiney and crybaby SJW's have given spawn to a bunch of whiney and crybaby anti-sjw's. As for the gay stuff in Destiny? I would never have even paid attention to it unless some hurt snowflake hadn't pointed it out 1000 times. SJW's seem to be on both sides of the argument, one for and one against. Both arguing over the other person's view. Grow up and get a life. You don't like something? Then don't support it and move on. Quit being a whiny bitchbaby.
-
If Bungie were not in the Seattle area, it probably wouldn't happen. It's just the thing to do here.
-
F_ck the SJWs. I stopped reading the comics after the last episode and have no desire to continue reading them. They probably did this thing for gay pride month.
-
2 RepliesIf you criticize, then you’re the worst person in the world. We can only speak with our money. Don’t give Bungie another cent. Seriously, it’s the only way that the suits will listen - we have power over this, it’s called revenue or stock holder value, or whatever management corporate horse manure language. Don’t give Bungie any more money.

Edited by blkdrg01: 6/25/2018 2:24:48 PMBut it does have a deep lore meaning. All guardians were chosen by the traveler because they are/were homosexual. Don't worry about the lore inconsistencies, they will be retconed in the next DLC where it will be revealed Cayde and Zavala were lovers. This means Cayde's death will hit Zavala extra hard.
-
2 RepliesIf it were about her kissing a guy would you still be upset? That would still be pushing her sexuality in your face

I wouldn't have minded if the comic was called "Ana Bray", but it's not, it's called "Warmind", and after issue 2, I've been struggling to understand how Ana Bray's sexuality is relevant to the subject ( Rasputin, the Warmind ).

5 Repliesso many SJW's on this thread lol. Apparently, its perfectly normal and totally okay to inject LGBTQ bullshit into videogames now, otherwise they might feel "discriminated against"
-
What is Ana like 16? She sounds it in the game. Just sayin. Kill many and Die often!
-
If you all had an issue with the actual plot points, you would be discussing the plots points as to why you have the issue. Not Ana's sexual preference
-
I just think that every time I see an "extra" like a comic that they should have taken those resources and put them towards fixing the core game itself first.
