Aren't account recoveries a bannable offense? How can this still be a thing? How can top listed players be able to sell their services, when it's obvious that cheating and exploiting the game is part of their MO. Why do I have to deal with players, who clearly have a financial incentive? This is even worse than the Gold Farmers in WoW. They influenced the in-game economy but never to a point that it affected your game-play in such a manner as Booster Services in Destiny.
Every time you see the FEAR Clan tag you might as well quit, because you know there is something shady coming. I used to play games professionally. I recognize the difference between skill and exploits. Whenever you match up against one of those Farming Clans, you'll see the perfect combination of both. Those games just don't feel right. They use every trick in the book to gain an advantage, because they get money out of it.
This has to stop!
I see no reason whatsoever NOT to chase down Clans that profit "illegally". IMHO clans like FEAR are the cancer of this game. I just want to play Destiny and I don't want to have to worry about illegal activities. My life is stressful enough. Why are such people allowed to still play the game and ruin my/our fun? I really don't understand. Someone please explain this to me in a constructive way, without being childish and/or toxic.

Like one person said, it would just cause a massive shitstorm that no one would want to deal with, I don't blame Bungie for doing so, quite frankly I would be them unless I had some solid hard evidence that such a thing happened, it's a pretty bold claim to accuse if you could say of someone being recovered without any evidence.

4 RepliesSpeaking legally, its against the Xbox terms and services to sell "gaming services" like trials carries and recoveries. Issue is, in order to enforce it, you would need proof that a transaction transpired. Account recoveries are also against the Xbox terms and services. Again, issue being determining if it was a legitimate account recovery from the owner, or not. Short of taking pictures of the person accessing the account, its hard to police. If bungies staff decided to start policing "paid carries" and such, what i can guarantee would happen is 1. Paid carries would just move around from site to site. And 2. The feedback forum would be flooded with "I Was Falsely Banned!?!" posts. Which, as funny as it seems in the moment, will become an issue very quickly

3 RepliesBungie won't do anything, it believes a robust secondary market for in-game services is beneficial. Account recoveries violate the XBL and PSN terms of service, and probably Battle.Net's too. Report them there.

1 ReplyFor all we know you're the guy who posted the ad and are advertising.

4 RepliesI get not liking this, but dude its online gaming. happens all the time. there is nothing Bungie will do that will stop this lol. even if they implement some way to track that, the sellers would just come up with a more complex way to keep doing it. plus they do need hard evidence, especially since bans are permanent. They can't use circumstantial evidence to ban someone. Bungie is not the 1st, won't be the last either. this will be a thing along with people hacking, scamming, etc. that will forever go on. after a while you just kinda quit caring.

lol @ advertising for them.

If I had somebody I could trust to go flawless on my account I would. I suck at crucible and haven’t gone flawless. I am not willing to spend money on a video game to get the Purpose and the Prosecutor, so I will never have those two weapons unless someone is willing to carry me through. I don’t know if it is illegal to have someone recover your account and do it, but I could see why someone would want to do it.

Account recoveries on eBay
Wait, wait, wait.....This is just sickening! Are you telling me that people actually still use Ebay?!

Edited by The Sword Logic: 6/22/2018 3:55:38 PMWhat does "account recovery" mean, in this context? I figured it out:
What is an Recovery? (sic) A recovery involves you entrusting me with your account to play on and go flawless. I will not do anything else on the account unless specified.
From eBay (which is still a thing, evidently).

3 RepliesDude stop advertising your services on here. If you are really mad about this, then there's a few things you should know. 1. Bungie doesn't own eBay, and can't take action for what takes place there.. Which you likely know because its you selling them. 2. If you dislike it so much, why the hell would you link us to it, why put the word out for them. If someone was thinking about it, but didn't know where to go. You just made them more money. Which is why its probably you selling it.

7 RepliesIt comes down to being able to police and enforce it. They have no way to prove that any transaction took place.
