Destiny - The Taken King - Legendary Edition physical codes have been expired for more than a year. Even if it wasn't already redeemed, it'd show as expired and unredeemable because of that fact (you can check for yourself the expiration date on the card that has the code on it). Your only option is to contact the retailer and ask for a full refund and then purchase what you're after on the console store. Bungie/Sony/Microsoft will not allow you to redeem an unredeemable code nor will they replace it with a working one. The retailer can't replace it with a working one as there are no more working ones to replace it with; even an exchange for another new copy would give you the same issue. If your retailer is no longer available for you to contact because they closed down (such as the case for ToysRUs and a few others) then you're entirely out of luck and you have to accept that you spent money on something that they should have told you was expired when they were selling it to you (as it's been well known for quite some time that the codes were expired). You paid money for what's basically the base game, Destiny, and nothing else. The codes were working fine when they were put in the box, so it's out of Bungie/Sony/Microsoft's hands at that point and into the retailers, which is why you'd normally contact the retailer concerning your issue. So, sadly, you're out of luck if your retailer is no longer available. If you wish to play Destiny as much as you're able to, you'll need to purchase the DLCs on the consoles tore. There's no other option for you.
