I like that we had to use armor sets for faction rally but i wish we could get some kind of small buff/overshield/cosmetic flair or anything for wearing a complete set of armor.
Personaly after thinking about it i would be happy if it just activated chroma

It would make sense if we got more reputation for factions by wearing a full set of their armor.

4 RepliesSame, I grinded out the full EP gear for my hunter. I wish it had some cool perks.

This needs to be a thing throughout the WHOLE GAME! I genuinely can't believe Bungie have never mentioned this or heard the feedback for it. It's such a small thing but it really helps to start making armour more worthwhile and less cosmetic. Right now I wear New Monarchy gear just for the cosmetics, there's no point in wearing anything else because bonuses no longer exist.
-
So sacrificing armor slots in order to obtain unique bonuses? You mean like, you know, exotics?
-
2 RepliesI also think that an exotic armor piece shoukd count toward making a set
-
This is a great idea. I have several armor sets I don't use because they lack perks useful to my style.
-
You mean something like Classified gear in the Division?
-
Content cost money

1 ReplyThe exotic peice ruins this though. No buff is worth giving up your exotic armor preice, and if it is, it's a pretty OP af buff, lol.
-
2 RepliesThe division had this and made for interesting builds. Bungie wont do it because it would be hard to balance in pvp
-
5 RepliesExactly how I feel. Full trials gear and no bonus. Not like I worked my ass of for that, faction gear or raid gear.
-
1 ReplyMuch as I like the idea of multiple armour sets there's no way to properly organise the vault. It just becomes a mess.
-
5 RepliesI’ll be honest here, I don’t even understand how the factions work. For my Hunter I had every piece of Anti Extinction gear except the cloak. During the event I hit level 50 for the exotic catalysts and never got a single Anti Extinction cloak. I did however get at least 7 or 8 of the other DO cloak.

That'd be nice if you got some kind of passive boost for different armor sets. Have one that universally buffs weapon handling or reload speeds. I always liked the Iron banner D1 gear that gave movement buffs immediately after capping a zone. Bring back stuff like that in addition to whatever they are doing with mods
-
I'm curious, will exotics that have faction ornaments count towards faction armor sets? I'd like to be able to equip an exotic and show off my ornament in the next rally.
-
Maybe Master Works 2.0 will help. We can only hope.
-
1 ReplyA cosmetic flair or a PvE-only buff would be good. PvP buffs would be asking for trouble.

3 RepliesEdited by PX1914: 6/18/2018 11:05:45 PMI’d luv to see “Armor Set Bonuses” added to D2, especially if they’re escalating. Meaning a set amount of bonuses for 2, 3, 4 and 5 pieces (a complete set) of armor with compounding bonuses. In addition, having exotics armor pieces, for example Masterwork’d exotics, be able to work with any sets would be an excellent feature as well. Not only could this be introduced via the “Mods 2.0” system but also as an expansion the Masterworks system.

5 RepliesBungie Logic... Got complete Armor sets? Great Job! And oh btw it increases incoming Damage!!!! You’re welcome!
-
7 RepliesI'd like to know the secret of obtaining a full set of armour. I promise i won't tell anyone!
-
I would like to see raid gear have buffs like "while wearing the Helm of Knight Slayer your kinetic weapons over penetrate Hive Knight shields" or "the Gaunlets of Ham Skinners gives you a 5% buff to reload speed". Something that will help you inside as well as outside the raid.
-
You do I wear raid armour for raiding, it gives me bonuses. A full set of faction armour gives you bonus tokens etc and also you have ornaments to put on it. Mostly the requirement of many people after D1 was that they could wear anything they like for doing anything they like, they didn't want to wear specific items for specific things. They didn't have to grind the drops. One mans jam is another mans sticky tasteless sh*t
-
2 RepliesThat’s how I feel about raid armor.
-
I agree. Set bonuses are kind of a staple in MMOs/RPGs. Like a lot of MMO's, it would be cool if they also added a system where you can model one piece of armor to look like another. So, if you wanted the Raid armor set bonus, but like the look of Road Complex, you could 'infuse' the appearance into the Raid gear. That way you could use the sets suited to you without looking exactly like everyone else (D1Y1).
-
No, because that'd reduce the purpose of exotics. Maybe a bonus for wearing 4/5 pieces. It's like the challenges in faction rally for doing whatever while wearing a full set, it's badly thought out.

1 ReplyThat always creates problems. Leads to a small number of viable sets that everyone uses, and kills customization. It’s better to have very few guardians running the same armor sets. Think I’ve only ran into one other guardian that was running a similar set to me. It also makes the game look more alive. Otherwise all those people running the same sets end up fading into the scenery like NPCs.
