Not trying to downplay what looks to be like a good expansion, I know everyone still playing is looking forward to it... seriously though... I can understand charging for a DLC... but the season pass too??? Come on now... and the pay wall to be able to play forsaken Content with friends that stopped playing before CoO and Warmind?
No way I can convince the friends I used to play hours upon hours of D1 with that just got fed up with D2 early on to come back for this... no matter how fun Gambit is.
That’s not me whining about not being able to play with friends that’s just me being honest... Bungie loses business by creating this pay wall... if they want more customers they need to be more consumer considerate.
There’s got to be a better way Bungie...

Once this game is out I would be shocked to find 1000 imbeciles still bothering logging on d2 once. Anthem and div 2 with free content, awesome graphic and exciting gameplay will kill this franchise once for all, let's not forget crew 2 and 76 now. D2 will die like ME andromeda

I mean that shit was news, so i would be surprised if EA pulled that crap again with such a high probability of negative news exposure, especially with a game as hyped up as anthem.

The pay wall is fine the content and creativity is what bungie needs they can fix the pay wall at anytime. Every dlc so far except for the upcoming one was all trash we lacking loot strike specific loot even nightfall we need weapons and armor -blam!- cosmetics. We need better story telling an not half ass drunk story tellings and that's really it well pvp needs more improvements but that's really it tho. Unless they do ship battles which would really turn the destiny franchise around then it'll give other games a run for they money.

You forgot something about anthem. Their game is going to be 100% funded by two things: The sales of the game. (No brainer) The sale of microtransactions. (Heavily dependent upon) If either flop especially microtransactions, anthem free dlc will NOT last or the game dies. Destiny 2 has I believe only 1 item that I know of that's restricted by microtransactions, everything else you can farm for. Lock behind pay walls, are we seriously doing this again from the taken king? Why was the taken king locked behind a pay wall? Because the content of it specifically had you go to the dlc area. For example one mission had you go into Crota' s end raid. Forsaken probably going to happen as well especially since the dlc areas are planets. I don't think anthem will be a bad game or anything, it's just being seriously over hyped same with forsaken imo (which im hyped for, but not to the extreme) and is bound to be disappointment as when you jump on the hype train, your expectations go through the roof.

I’m extremely excited for Anthem and I’m devouring all the news on it I can. More so to convince myself this won’t be another ME:A (which personally other than the animation bugs I thought was decent game) and that it won’t be a SWBF2. With both of those boxes ticked I’m currently very happy with the way Anthem seems to be going so much so that I fully intend on Pre ordering the Legion Of Dawn Edition for myself and the standard Edition for my son.

Bungie sold the taken king dlc for 40 dollars... all the while you could see gameplay from it in one of the original destiny trailers a whole year before the "stripped" game (if you can even call it that) released. Bungie=crooks, thats a fact.

1 ReplyI am expecting Anthem to give me as much enjoyment as Division did. I played the story, collected all collectables, and got the best end game loot at the time all within the first month of its release then basically never played it again once a different game became available. So if Anthem can entertain me for a month, great. If it can keep me interested longer, wonderful. Create realistic expectations and you will be alot less likely to be dissapointed.

As much as I bash D2 I gotta say Anthem doesn't look that great either. Apart from the visuals there's just nothing that stands out about it. It looks slow as hell. That E3 presentation was awful. Especially the repeating footage of the same character flying through the sky doing nothing. All it reminds me off is Dark Void with Co-op. Not that Dark Void is that bad - I was just expecting Bioware to blow it out of the water and they didn't. Hell I think Forsaken is looking better. Bungie at least made the game look interesting in terms of promoting the game.
