Why kill Cayde
Bungie if I kill of Cayde-6 your gonna lose a lot of fans and a lot of people will stop playing. Cayde-6 is a favorite for a lot of people.

3 RepliesA lot of people think the story is very lacking. It needs direction and a reason to fight. If he is a lot of people’s favorite, then they’ll want to avenge him. (Also this game was too light hearted, a darker tone has always suited destiny imho) A lot of people say they hate him too, so it appeals to them as well I guess lol.

This is exactly why they're letting him die. People care about Cayde, so it makes sense to make this happen so people will feel more emotion in the story. Destiny's story has always been too light hearted.
