Crest of Alpha Lupi Buff or Catalyst

While I like this exotic I feel it needs more to be on par with several other exotics. The two buff/catalyst options I see being viable are: 1: Leave initial health pulse and extra orb count the same but have it continue to do minor periodic health pulses within close proximity of the Barricade while it's active. 2: Initial health pulse is increased significantly and supers generate 2 additional orbs instead of 1. Edit: Thanks for all the great input. Made a list of some of the below suggestions that I feel make a viable buff or catalyst. - Significant damage reduction during barricade activation animation and slightly increased barricade durability. - Decreased revive time and create 2 additional orbs with supers. - Increased weapon stability and decreased flinch from oncoming damage within close proximity of the barricade. - Chance of dropping 1 additional orb from masterworked weapon multi-kills. - Barricade drops orbs as it takes damage.

  • This is what I hope for! Pulsing healing would benigit so much more! And would leave the warlock to pick empowering rift. I would also like it for pvp since you could heal people a lot easier:) Also hope they make the barrier explosion proff in PvE. It would be a great QoL to actually be able to use it as cover. Atm Warlock is still the best support imo, but with your change to alpha lupi and the QoL to barrier, Titan would be able to compete.

  • I had the idea to have it drop a small orb on activation, or have it drop orbs while taking damage. Two total if it breaks.

  • Make it have the heal impulse when activating the Ward of Dawn. Make Ward of Dawn great again.

I'd take any one of them.

      This sort of ties in with the problem with Wormhusk Crown. Currently that exotic is way too strong, it both gives you a pulse of health on dodge AND starts health regen. Personally I believe that Wormhusk needs to do the exact same thing as Alpha Lupi, and then they BOTH need to be buffed. "Gives back 50% of total Health on dodge/shield" Then bump the orb generation on Lupi to two orbs as you've said, and then add an equal extra perk on Wormhusk, such as "increase melee energy" something helpful, but not broken like health regen, warlock rifts should be the only think that starts health regen, other class abilities should be able to get close to that with an exotic and the same goes for other classes and their abilities.

    • I have been thinking of a way to make Crest of Alpha Lupi better while keeping it’s “barricade-based” identity. What if (along with extra orb for Supers and pulse of health regen on activation of barricade) The strength of barricades are greatly increased and standing behind a rally barricade grants stability and accuracy buffs and while reducing flinch and incoming damage. ??? So, they are synergistic with Lunafaction boots in PvE. Rally barricade is useful again without overshadowing Rifts. Also, it would make Rally Barricades a viable mechanic and playstyle in PvP. And it would reinforce a Titan’s identity as a “defender” by making Towering barricade a lot more resilient and effective at closing off sight lanes and choke points.

    • I say overshield or significant damage reduction upon activation of barricade it last until end of animation. Health pulse for the Titan increased from 33% health to 67% I say overshield because DR could possibly make the health pulse useless. If a hunter can dodge and get his health (granted it can be stopped if you shoot them mid dodge) the Titan should be able to tank hella damage not so much that it’s broken but enough so that the Titan can actually tank.

    • EIther of those would be great. Problem is that whatever changes are coming are probably already done/set. Let's hope Bungie had the same thoughts.

    • I like the idea of health pulses around the baracade. It encourages your fireteam to utilize the cover if needed. Faster revive is also good but it needs more. The additional orb is nearly useless since we all have masterwork. Maybe instant revive for downed allies nearby the barricade in addition to the health pulse?

    • Titan exotics are just the worst in the game compared to other subclass exotics. Alpha Lupi, Helm of Saint 14 and Dunemarchers are the only decent ones.

      • It should just function how it did in Destiny 1. Problem solved. I main a Titan and I hardly ever use Barrier, so I'd prefer it if it just provided the extra orbs on super kills and faster revive times.

        • Yup it deffinately needs a buff. From a conceptual point of view ( regarding the supposed roll of titans defending and such ) its irrational for hunters to have an exotics that heals WAY more effectively than the Alpha Lupi. Yeah Alupi heals other players, but the effect feels very minuscule. Actually today i was thinking that new defender super could have something like a last resort. An emergency life saving super that could be used in raids to prevent wipes, Something like you get your health to 25% but trigger rapid health regen to fellow guardians, or maybe over shield. Something like a risk reward situation that goes along the line of titans defending or saving others.

          • Yeah, they kept the one additional orb, but they made orbs less valuable compared to D1. Used to be a stack of 4-5 orbs fully recharged your super. Now 4-5 (big, super orbs, not pitiful 1/16 masterwork orbs) gives you like 75% super back, and that was after the super buff.
