hey, im right there with you, some of us don't have that much time to play, but here's where we verge. not everything in the game should be obtained by everyone, im sorry but that's how it should be. someone who plays for 30+ hours a week SHOULD be at a different place then someone who plays 5-10.

So what? You didn't get something in the game is that it? One thing? Who cares? It likely won't even matter come september or when ever they decide on the next hard reset. We had them in D1 and we will have them here likely sooner than later. The chase is a chase if you choose to make it one. If you do then chase and shut up. To chase is just that. Kind of like they call it fishing not catching. If you on the other hand don't want to chase then also great don't chase. Enjoy playing the game. Take what comes along and to hell with the rest of it. You will be better off without the worry on it as again it all will go away the next time the tower falls......

I heard you can purchase less grindy/hobby based games? or you can enjoy the rewards that you can acquire for only playing a small amount of time (for example - the 13 packages you acquired this week)? The catalyst / gear will still be there in future rallies. So stop complaining.

Quite simply, this isn't the game for you. Pick something with less of a grind that cooperates better with your responsibilities and the free time you have. Lots of choices out there.

(To be fair it's only recently with the DLC) I feel like it's a job to play, the "grind" is just there to pad out the game in an attempt to make the DLC feel full, the requirements are too high (they don't take too long, or are too hard) they just get boring repeating the same thing for very little reward (most catylst for weapons are around 250..oh no, Gravaton Lance needs 1000 cosmology kills for some reason..and the Polaris needs burn kills, not explosive kills? Why? ) escalation intends to have you maxed out making you grind up the 45 levels (instead of the usual 10 it's been for years) just to complete an activity (yes you don't have to be maxed out, but that's what they intend you to do) it's like a minimum wage job, do the work, put in the hours, get shit pay. I don't even have fun with crucible or strikes anymore, crucible is more point and click than I've ever seen, it's literally just supers and heavy weapons (I might die maybe 2-5 times from an actual gun) that are 1 hit KO, some weapons doing the killing for you (Colony) or are yet again overpowered and overused (Gravaton Lance) because Bungie STILL can't balance properly after 4 years....And the strikes are just frustrating rather than fun as the modifiers sometimes do nothing but make the enemies bullet sponges to the point where some supers can't even break shields but weapons can so it's best to just not use them...that's not "difficulty" it just slows everything down and makes it take longer... somewhere between D1, and D2 Bungie forgot how to have fun, where's the Burns? The singe crap is stupid maybe 10% more damage (I did one strike where my primary was overstepping my matched energy weapon of the same class) grenade and melee charge faster...yeah..a bit...thanks...where's Daybreak? The Greande recharge that let you whip greandes everywhere..where'd the fun go? I hit KO enemy melee, gurdians get 2X melee but not enough to outright kill so it gets under used, why not have enemy and guardian 1 hits? (Doesn't work on the boss for obvious reasons) add a little risk v reward you can go the the 1 hit but might get 1 hit yourself. They try for difficulty over fun (for some people difficulty = fun) but I don't really think Bungie knows what difficulty is, maybe I don't, but bullet sponge enemies doesn't say "difficult" to me. 1 hit KO grounded, ok that makes things a bit harder, but like the Faction rally reducing my weapons down doesn't make it harder, it just makes it take longer and makes it feel like a chore to do. With warmind, They slowed the progression down, padded the hell out of the game and went back to the RNG screwing people over to take longer (my friend went past 50 for factions, never got a full set, and I haven't progressed on my warlock for two weeks because ive gotten nothing but same level arms for all of the milestones) once you finish the milestones there isn't really even a reason to play because they removed random high drop engrams. So yeah, currently Destiny is, get the milestones done, see ya next week. Repeat...hope this changes with Forsaken..but I doubt it.

Grinding is dull no matter that I even have the time to do it? If players want to play video game pachinko, which is what playing the same levels over and over again to get a 1% drop, then go on about how 'veteran' they are, then that's not something I admire either. Rewards need to matter. So does the way they are gotten. Destiny 2 and Destiny 1 are not the first game to turn your immersive experience into pachinko, but they are particularly awful at disguising what they are up to. Either give up getting everything because you know Destiny is designing content to target a profit margin first, entertainment second...or look for something better. But if you want better, you probably have to stay away from all AAA company releases, avoid any pre-ordering temptations, and stop playing if you end up with a Star Wars: Battlefront experience.

Grinding is part of MMO's get over yourself, work for you gear or just be undergeared that simple, most of us have jobs and families and you know what, we are ok with not having the best of everything because we understand we dont have the time to earn it. QUIT CRYING

You have three rallys to get to 50 if you don't have the time to get one of each this season. I literally hit 50 just from doing the weekly milestones and the daily faction milestones on each character. People that put more time in the game deserve more stuff in the game.
