What is your favorite song in the Original Soundtrack? I mean, each one is indeed extraordinarily beautiful and grotesque, but which ones stand out the most to you?
For me, personally, I'd have to say the Both Ways Remix, Epilogue, Exodus, New Alexandria, and Tip of the Spear were tracks that gleamed the brightest, and not only because of the epic and memorable cut scenes/game play that ensued, but also because of how they were written and orchestrated. I mean, everything just fit the theme of the game very well.
Your thoughts?

There was a mix of oni sword base and epilogue being played when you started heading back to the courtyard. Start to make you feel like the s*** is starting to hit the fan. skip to 5:10 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KOFXsAHLkSM

Really like Overture,Epilogue and Tip of the Spear
-
Epilogue
-
Definitely Tip of the Spear. It has so many references to other Halo soundtracks, how can you not like it? [Edited on 10.18.2010 7:39 AM PDT]
Posted by: Epicly Uber What's the songname for when you enter the dark warehouse with Jorge? It's so kickass.
I don't know the title per-say, but it's the third to last song on the track "Winter Contingency". Also, there are some tracks on there, like "We Remember", that don't really make an appearance in the game. Perhaps a few of them were just for fun, and the others were implemented in some secret fashion? Either way, indeed. The soundtrack is just phenomenal.

last bit of new alexandria, the music while the pelican comes into view, that whole seen is just epic on a whole new level
-
Tip of the Spear. When I'm driving and listening to that, it just makes me want Banshees to shoot at me, and my Element to magically turn into a Warthog.
-
tip of the spear, walking away and we remember all amazing
-
Lone Wolf. I'm a sucker for piano.
-
Kat's death scene music is superb. Actually ALL of New Alexandria's music is amazing. But my personal favorite is probably the music in the opening cutscene to Pillar of Autumn or when you arrive at the Comm Relay in Winter Contingency. Lone Wolf was really good too, and so was Winter Contingency. Damn, their all just soo good.
Posted by: Hank I really like Walking Away, and Ashes... But it's all very good. This is definitely one of Marty's best soundtracks yet. EDIT-Hey, did anyone else notice? The last part of The Package (5:44-6:40) is Keep What You Steal from the Halo 3 soundtrack. I noticed the familiar fanfair in the game, but I didn't notice the track was the same until I listened to it on the soundtrack.
Actually, yeah! I loved how they implemented the ODST and Halo 3 soundtrack in the game. Come on people, don't let up! :D

Overture ONI: Sword Base Tip of the Spear Long Night of Solace Epilogue Ashes Fortress Both ways Walking Away We Remember :D
-
The one on the beginning of "Long Night of Solice" when you are fighting your way to the launch bay on the beach.
-
I loved basically every track. But if I absolutely had to pick one, I'd choose Ghosts and Glass. It sounds sadly triumphant. Like you just won the war, but lost every single person you ever cared about.
-
the one at the end where your defending the landing pad while emile is in the MAC gun
Posted by: Octhilias Huge fan of the soundtrack, basically all of it. Even the music that plays during the main menu is just stunning.
Exactly. I mean, I remember the first few moments of turning on the game for the first time, and the main menu's music just made me want to rush creating my character and head straight for campaign.

Yeah... "Epilogue" has the same effect on me. It probably is my favorite... next to the intro of "Exodus". All of the songs on the album have a somber, yet hopeful tone. This is damn sure one of the best Halo Soundtracks.
-
"We Remember" is my favorite...even though it depresses me every time i listen to it.
Posted by: HaloIlove When you see Jorge's death, the music perfectly fits it. Also, the song Lone Wolf is epic by itself.
Yeah, the music made it perfect. It was so melancholy and I like, wanted to cry. And then when all of those ships started coming into orbit? Pure chills. And I loved the variants of Lone Wolf that were placed in the game, too. They fit so perfectly within the specific combat.
Posted by: Frozen Hellion That one song that plays during ONI: Sword Base where *tiny spoiler* you have to save the girl from the Elite with a sword *end spoiler* and it begins playing when you enter the dark warehouse (?) with Jorge, sounds so epic...If anyone has a Youtube video of this song could you please link it? Thanks.
Are you talking about the second level? I think it's called "Winter Contingency". :D

Not one person has an opinion toward the music? Seriously?
