Why are people so resistant to the idea? In addition to the fact that it’s about the right time for a halo 6 announcement, the idea of it being a prequel is just stupid. We’ve already played all the possible prequels that could take place on a halo ring. Unless you want to play a game purely consisting of master chief showering at alpha base on the first ring.

Yeah I never got a vibe that said otherwise. Whole new game engine it was built on, takes place right after Halo 5. I don't see how it wouldn't be Halo 6. It's time for it anyway.

Smh these comments... Yes it picks up where Halo 5 left off. My guess the reveal we saw takes place on the ring we saw at the end of Guardians (legendary ending, installation 07 I've heard ) Also bet we get a new Cortana to fight the old one. Hope so anyway, would be cool to experience them getting to know each other again like in CE. Be waiting to see some gameplay but the reveal looked good, was nostalgic af. 343i at least listens to what fans want so I have faith they will do the campaign right in this game.

I keep seeing rumours that it's only single player. I will be heavily disappointed. Halo 3: ODST was a great game with co-op, but I need a full-blown multiplayer to keep me playing.
