It would be nice to get clarification from Bungie. After all, they made out gear obsolete with The Taken King and Destiny 2. All indicators point to them doing it again.

Watch the reveal vidoc whateverand pay close attention to the heavy spot, you can see the legend of acrius and the character is around 562ish....seems to me we can bring everything up

Nobody was mad about ttk making guns obsolete, because we saw what happened in HoW when they allowed you to bring up old VoG gear. By not making old things obsolete it removes incentive to get new things

What? Everyone was mad. It was a shitshow. People didn’t want the house of wolves weapons because they were all trash and lacked the specialness of the previous raid weapons- there was a rocket launcher with shank burn for God’s sake.

Except for the fact that there are no indicators. They were using old weapons and armor sets in the live stream alongside the new ones. Let’s not forget that they’ve been saying “what will make your tenth better devils better” line.
