I and some of my fellow clanmates have been doing some Guided Games as guides lately. Because we're chasing after the emblem that requires "50 encounters guided". We've not really had any problems prior to this small inconvenience. During an Eater of Worlds run my screen froze and Destiny shut itself down after a couple of seconds. When I booted it back up and got on my character, I had the Oath Breaker debuff and could not rejoin my fireteam to attempt to complete the activity.
This was very unfortunate as it made it quite challenging for my fellow clanmates and the inexperienced additional player that we were paired with. It inconvenienced us further that the debuff lasts for such a long time, 45 minutes to be exact. Our Oathkeeper score as a clan also seemed to be lower by it, so that's a bit sad. I tried to switch characters, who appeared to not have the debuff, but I was still unable to rejoin the raid.
This event was both disappointing for us as guides and the seeker, for whom this was his first raiding experience. I'm just wondering if there is anything I can do other than post on the forums, or if there is anything one can do to prevent this sort of thing to occur in the future. Maybe add a timer where you only get the debuff if you don't rejoin the activity within say 10 minutes or something along those lines. Because you can never really foresee when something like this happens, or when someone's internet abruptly cuts our, for example.

3 RepliesHello, as Guided Games is in Beta stage, oathbreaker is to stop players from leaving matches. The developers of Guided Games are paying close attention to everything that happens within them. So they are aware of players who get disconnected/error codes get an oathbreaker.
For example, we know that the lack of reconnections causes all kinds of problems with unintentional oathbreakers
So this is something that is being looked into. Unfortunately I know that isn’t much help right now for players who unintentionally get an oathbreaker, but hopefully it gives hope to future Guided Games. https://www.bungie.net/en/Explore/Detail/News/46467
