So let me get this right.
We bought Destiny 2, and the 2 DLCS for the game, and now our Expansion Pass Bundle is no longer valid cause you are trying write off the fact for Forsake you need own the other DLCS , but it is still Destiny 2.
I'm sorry, but wasn't an game addon/DLC consider an Expansion? So Forsaken is a Expansion? Okay So now you are wanting people to buy the game after originally buying the Expansion Pass Bundle in advance to buy the Expansion of a game already bought and HAVE the other to do the other 'base' game AND it own DLC?
I'm sorry, but this is shady as hell, Let me break down how "Expansion" work.
I'm going use a Few examples.
Mass Effect 2: Lair of the Shadow Broker, had to own the original game and what we call DLC is now the "Expansion" or Season Passes in games.
Let go on.
The Witcher 3: Blood and Wine, Again IS a whole Expansion of the game that was sold as Season pass/Expansion Pass.
Dragon Age: Origins: Awakening, Was originally Expansion but is treated like DLC now these days.
See a trend here? You sold a game with the label Expansion Pass, and your thing said this as the selling point.
Continue your adventure with the Destiny 2 Expansion Pass and get access to both Expansion I and Expansion II. Both expansions feature brand new destinations?, story missions??, and adventures?. Play new cooperative activities, compete in new multiplayer arenas, and earn a wealth of themed weapons, armor, and gear.
I am sorry, but what you gave is wasn't Expansion, You barely even gave us a Story in those so call "Expansion" And If anything you can say those only fraction what was offer.
Each DLC only open 1 Planet, not really much for "destinations" as promised, and revisiting old planets don't count even if you add a small story in that area, cause IT THE SAME destination.
destination Def. the place to which someone or something is going or being sent.
The place being only 1 planet.
Each DLC had barely any story and was more short then the game release it more of an Addon then Actual Expansion.
What is a Video game addon? Well let use a game as Example.
Deus Ex: Mankind Divided
Addon List :
Deus Ex: Mankind Divided™ DLC - Assault Pack
Deus Ex: Mankind Divided™ DLC - Tactical Pack
Expansion List :
Deus Ex: Mankind Divided™ - A Criminal Past
Deus Ex: Mankind Divided™ - System Rift
--------
All you did was Add features to stuff that was in the game nothing new or Story driven, sure you can claim each new planet gave us 1 more thing to do, but only real thing had ANY major content added was the Raid, which as most people can see is apart the original game as it story doesn't make sense and it in it own little world, Each Strike is really just an Adventure mode with random stuff going on. That doesn't really remember the main story, (if you do the adventure it make sense, but repeating it over and over in strike they repeat being clueless).
Your Story is Mess up and YOU KNOW WHAT WHY NO ONE EVER BRING UP THE DAMN PART WHAT HAPPEN TO ANA GHOST, at the damn start of the game we hear her say get some frozen thing off HER GHOST, and since then BAM GONE no worrying over her ghost missing, nothing to bring it up again and uses a COMPUTER to contact us, NOT HER GHOST.
You are one shady arse of a company wanting people to noy only buy DLC, but actual expansion to the whole game.
All you given us thus far is only Addon's not actual expansions, so if "Forsaken" is the 1st true expansion, I believe my Pass is still valid, cause all your addon's had no Story that really impacted anything, Heck you basically DO the damn story in the Adventure mode. THAT isn't a blood Story you given us and Adventure.
We Kill Xul int he Story? COOL, who we kill in the Adventure/strike, Xul? But I killed him already why does the adventure treat it like we Didn't.
What happen tot he promises also on Cruse of Osiris "each time you Enter the Forest you will have Replay and different path to go to Past, present and future" , cause all I recall doing the same thing I did in the story no special story. Beside the final fight with Osiris.
Bungie i'm sorry but this is purely shady Wording you done. You are just milking people for stuff you should gave from the start, this whole "Expansion".
You barely Added Anything in the 2DLC, level cap? Cool you get max level by doing the main story. new Weapon and Gear to match the level? Kinda not important considering if you didn't cap the leveling a person without Cruse or Warmind could reach the same power level as everyone else. With the same old Weapons.
Cruse of Osiris Said we would be doing thing in the Forest for us to go in 1 day and it'll be something else, but I go in and do about the same thing all the time. during strikes, and when I go to the planet there No whole new Area for public events, or anything I just have to roam the outside waiting for 1 to spawn.
In Warmind we were promise deeper understanding .... wait no never mind all we did is help some Girl who lost her ghost and to never mention it again, and get a Warmind when we already had a interaction with a Warmind already during the BASE game , so that isn't really new either.
When a Game get a Expansion it say "You need the base game before you can play this"
EVER EXPANSION GAME
"This content requires the base game (Insert Game) on Steam/CD/origin/anyplatform in order to play."
So you clearly just stated with Forsaken "you need the base game which include DLC1/2" so DLC 1 and 2 is the base game.
Stand-alone expansion packs
Some expansion packs do not require the original game in order to use the new content, as is the case with Half-Life: Blue Shift, Uncharted: The Lost Legacy or Sonic & Knuckles. These are often also referred to as 'expandalones'. In some cases, a stand-alone expansion such as Heroes of Might and Magic III: The Shadow of Death, or Dungeon Siege: Legends of Aranna includes the original game. Stand-alone expansions are preferred by game retailers since they require less shelf space and are generally easier to move since they don't carry the prerequisite of owning the original game. Enhanced games or anthologies released as "Game of the Year edition", "Director's Cut", etc. are examples of standalone expansions. In some standalone packs if someone does not have the original or previous expansion packs, then they can't use certain units or races contained in the other games in multiplayer.
This clearly doesn't fit forsaken as if it was Standalone Expansion I would get the whole "Price/it own pass" cause it would been a Standalone, but you demand DLC 1/2 with D2, so this is clearly a Expansion of a Expansion which by law you can't as you haven't given as you Advertise/said how it would been like.
You already proven yourself as Liar in livestream which is video Advertising promising us X thing and we didn't get. And you aren't even trying to fix it, you just push all that "feedback" to a Whole other Expansion , but guess what by law you sold us an Expansions Pass.
By word Expansions Pass mean all future and Past Expansions, Much like how you are trying for this Annual Pass meaning 1 year pass. So by law Everyone who bought Expansion Pass is obligated to all Expansions. So by wording alone you sign a legal agreement with us for Expansions as you said originally there was 2 Expansion plan after release for the game and EVERY OTHER game company sell Expansion Passes that gives ALL Expansions even neat little rewards for those who had it. And Normally they just increase the price of a Pass once they wish to add more to the original agreement making those who invested worth their money, while those who didn't missed the "deal"
So Let go over law already broken by Bungie with the Destiny 2 community.
laws on false advertising
State and federal laws are in place to protect consumers from false or misleading advertising. These laws make deceptive claims illegal. No business may make false, misleading, or deceptive claims about a product regarding its:
Price (price is fine for the original game)
Quality (We weren't given the Quality of content promised no real story if anything you repeat the same story in Strike + Adventures).
Purpose (This would be how we were told about the game and how it would be, on the DLC/Story, and how everything was explain on their streams and how stuff would work IE : the Forest being able to go in and pick a random path and go to past, present or future and getting lost in a maze as thy said in the streams and not including such wording on Expansions Pass).
----------------
False advertising is any published claim that is deceptive or untruthful. Misleading advertising is any published claim that gives a consumer an incorrect understanding of the product they are interested in purchasing or using. The false and misleading advertising by companies of any product may result in the consumer suffering a financial loss, or another form of damage to the consumer.
The financial losses or damages acquired by a consumer due to the false or misleading advertising may not be significant. However, this is not a cost that any consumer should have to endure. Consumers who have suffered from financial losses or other damages may participate in a class action lawsuit to recover compensation for any losses incurred.
I stream and make videos this does Apply to me as I made an investment for Story and content, but it same stuff after 1st play.

You know you could earn the money working in less time than it took you to type that wall of text trying paint yourself as a victim.
-
1 ReplyIt's not false advertising. The first pass was expansion 1 and 11 nothing more.
-
Instead of writing that wall of text, maybe read what is included with the pass when you bought it. Clearly stated expansions 1 and 2. said that even before the expansions had names. Just like the annual pass clearly states the 3 dlcs it includes.
-
3 RepliesThe contents of the pass were plainly stated in the description on any site it could be purchased from. It stated the first 2 expansions released, nothing more. Hence, your entire argument is solely opinion and invalid in a legal sense.
-
If you seriously think that either Activision (who is the one responsible for the advertising) or Bungie broke any US federal laws, then by all means file a complaint with the FTC https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/#crnt&panel1-1

6 RepliesCan there be a tl;dr?

7 RepliesEdited by Xc_LuxZenRa: 6/7/2018 6:11:20 AMokay I stopped at the top of your post cause I believe I already made my case. Feel free to Prove me Wrong. The Season Pass Offered With Destiny 2 Specifically Applied to The First 2 Expansions Only. I know their are others Like Fallout 4 who give you all of them...Then again they specially state How many DLCS will be Given with that Season Pass. So Bungie in no way is false advertising or doing something shady with the season pass people already own; the season pass was only for Expansion I and II and not III and IIII as well. edit: honestly the only way Business are able to sell you DLC with so little content is because of how Well Pre Orders have Been Business wise. we are responsible in some part for what has happened to not only destiny(not the first) but many other games. you know. what you think? or should I have continued reading? doing it either way...lol
-
Didn't read.
-
2 RepliesNobody is going to read all of that. I read a bit into the first paragraph and can already tell you don't know what you're talking about, because the expansion pass was clearly stated to only be for expansions I and II. Besides, this is the #OffTopic forum, not #Destiny2.

2 RepliesWell you broke the most sacred law of #Offtopic by posting this here
