Nope all of that is still not worth a preorder. Heck I'm not even sure if it's worth a purchase at all. That "reveal" only made me more perturbed. "We changed all this stuff" HOW? I have more unanswered questions than anything else. I am on the brink of just giving up all hope that this company actually cares for it's players.
Edit: *sheesh so many people think that I am telling them how to spend their money or for them not to buy it. I never said that. If you want to frivolously throw money at something before really knowing anything about it do so. I'm not your daddy and if you want to blindly give someone your money before fully knowing what you're getting then do so. Me, I have learned my lesson from this company and it could be the most hyped up two tokens and a blue xp throttled eververse expansive thing to date. There's a slight chance that it's actually decent meaningful and substantial content. The best way to know is wait a few weeks after it releases and see the real reviews.
Additional edit: It's not about the price or wanting something for free it's about value and informed decision making.

8 RepliesCan someone explain to me how Destiny 2 isn't now a subscription MMO? I mean the only difference here is we'll be paying a yearly fee for updates instead of a monthly fee. In a subscription MMO those payments are required, in Destiny 2 they just make your entire game obsolete unless you pay. In a subscription MMO we get everything Destiny 2 is offering, updates, new modes, new items, raids, instances etc. But we also get better servers, better aftersales, faster updates, no lootboxes and we can pick and choose which expansions we want to buy. Most importantly other MMO's have been subscription based from the start, Destiny 2 is pulling some bait and switch BS where they lure us in at one price only to hike it later. I can't say this is a deal breaker for me, the deal was already broken months ago. But Bungie must be high off their ass right now if they think people are going to pay even more to watch them play catchup with Destiny 1.
