Hi ^^ I agree that there will be new great content in Forsaken. BUT Bungie, you are going to loose players again, it's too expensive ! 110euros for my part for the previous digital deluxe edition + 80 euros for this one !!
= 190 EUROS FOR ONE GAME !
It's not acceptable ... I'm okey to pay new content but not at this price !

Nothing to say about it.... its 60 dollars for a DLC... wtf are were they thinking...
-
The game was $90, then $45 for forsaken then now another $50 for the black armory. I'm done with all this.

I was new to Destiny franchise when Destiny 2 came out. I heard such great things so I bought the delux version which included the season pass. In hindsight, I dont actually know what extra content came with the season pass 1 although there were meant to be multiple "expansions". The content is so insignificant that it feels like there actually wasnt anything new and then they decided to give it away for free for a period and heavily discount it through humble bundle after all the hype. activision are trying to monetize everything nowadays without thinking about the value expected by their customers. I'm going to cancel my World of Warcraft subscription next if they keep it up, that brand is being slowly destroyed too.

Edited by Glonojad El Bandito: 11/20/2018 11:57:20 PMI agree. I'm from Poland and the Forsaken Dlc for me is 39.99€ for Standard edition on Battle.net. I'm new to Destiny. Never played first one, and just started with D2 a couple weeks ago. I really like the game, and would really want to buy Forsaken Dlc. The problem is that 1€ equals about 4.3 zł. So 39.99€ is roughly 175 zł. Average wage in Poland is about 1000€, or 1870$. And since i'm 19 i don't earn money on my own, the Dlc is almost half of what i get in a month. And i have other expenses too. I don't want to brag about my earnings or something. But for 40€ i can get a completely new AAA game. I know it has two other dlc's in it and stuff. But still, expansion that is as expensive as a whole game? That's ridiculous.
-
I learnt my lesson on D1.. man I loved the game, played talked raved about it.. till the last expansion of $40 then when you don't buy expension, the other expansion are blocked off just access to base game.. THAT was my limit, IMO they took (stole?) my paid expansion from me!! that's not how gaming works!! it's wrong and unethical!! there's more obviously but whatever.. if I want to play Destiny or D2, its free through my friends or library, never giving them my money again!! We all they are more games out there that are cheaper and have more content (and treat their customers with respect)

Agree, and im usually one to just throw money at games even its for 4 hours of entertainment. I got back into it after a streamer I watched gave into the hype and followed his example of a few days having fun with the story. But this, this feels like it should have a 15$ addition. not really and expansion. After this im fairly certain im done with bungie games.

I just got the game for free via psplus and the DLC is still to expensive to justify purchasing! Looking at the DLC of the competition Bungies price is laughable . ESV Dragonborn was $20, Witcher heart of stone $10 Blood and Wine $20, DS3 14.99 for addons, BF5 DE is coming out at $80 which tells me their dlc is about $20! Point is if I am going to spend $60 I am going to spend it on a company that gives me more than a bow and a slightly more interesting story.
-
We've payed so much for a single $60 base game, which rivals flagship games from DICE and other companies, and 2 DLC's worth $30. What we get? $30 IN ALL worth of actual content. Community rages, bungie pretends they don't notice... etc. What really is annoying is that once they've actually tried putting a little effort because their reputation is in danger, they slap another fat $40 price tag on quality we should've gotten a year ago, but pretends like that never happened and everybody's sunshine and rainbows. (OFC fanboys are basically money banks to bungie) but for everybody else it's quite annoying that Bungie thinks that they're superior in some way or another and can ignore their own mistakes without addressing it like everybody in videos being happy and talking about improvement that won't come until ONE YEAR AFTER.
-
Totally agree! 40 buck is too much for a single DLC which should be D2 in first place! Gotta play the waiting game then... But gotta admit, the story and cinematics have improved since D1! They did f'd up here and there...The most f'd up thing is still the whole price thing.

Edited by Jackal: 9/6/2018 2:13:01 PMWhat really grinds my gears is that when forsaken was released, destiny 2 and both expansions are free on PlayStation store, of course after I paid $100. All I have to do is play the waiting game and forsaken will be dirt cheap when the other expansions come out and so on. Putting my money towards Red Dead 2.
-
So let me get this straight, they release the game full of issues and problems, almost lose their base in the process, and then release this expansion which claims to be how D2 was supposed to be in the first place and they make us pay full price for it AGAIN? Yeah totally insane! They are charging the same price as the original core game that is needed to play this expansion. Cannot wait to see all the issues that arise from this and all the rage that will soon follow. Stop giving Bungie money...seriously.

Agreed lost me andmy friends

1 ReplyThere’s no way in hell im paying for this DLC at that price. It’ll have to drop at least half and even then idk if I will. I can barely keep up with everything we already have in the game it’s just not the same game I used to defend.
-
I really agree. And people on here comparing it to other expansions that were the same price let me ask you this. Do you think the other expansions have been worth the $?? Not to me. Bungie apologized for a reason. They f'd up. Every time I have gotten done playing an expansion I always go "that's seriously all there is!?". It sucks, it's disappointing, and they havnt done anything else to assure me this one will be any different. They really should pry some creative storytelling out of their dollar focused minds and give us a campaign that keeps us excited!
-
I agree $40 seems way too expensive for Forsaken. At $30 I could see myself pulling the trigger. Waiting for the price to come down!
-
I'm going to do what I did for Rise of Iron back in D1 and wait for Bungie to lower the price. I paid for the expansion pass for the first two DLC's, which was $100 (sorry, don't know the exchange rate to euros), so I will not pay another 40 for just a DLC. This really bothers me because I liked Destiny 2 and the Fallen are the most interesting part to me. I just have to wait...

Edited by SaltyPepper: 6/12/2018 4:04:02 PMThe game was broken, the community told Bungo what to do to fix it, and now they are charging us big bucks for our own ideas. All my friends have quit destiny2, i came back for the latest DLC (which i already had payed for anyway) and because i got bored and unmotivated at Overwatch. I dont think i can convince my friends to pay even more than they already lost in the first place to come back. And looking at Osiris DLC... how good will it really be? Like Curse of Osiris +1 ? +5 ? Even for me its a bit of a gamble. I think people think its expensive because we still feel ripped off from the last DLCs. I mean people with high end pcs can spare 30 bucks... we just dont like to feel ripped off, scammed or like a chump.
-
9 Repliesits 40$ by itself. 70$ with an additional year of content. really not that expensive.
-
3 RepliesYea I think its overprice too. The content looked cool, but not worth the price. P.S. Get ready for sheeps and fanboys to downvote this topic lol
-
3 RepliesYeah, but I mean...what’re you gonna do? Not buy it and just stop playing destiny? Nah.
-
1 ReplyA majority of the content dropping in September seems to be free to everyone. From what I understand, all the quality-of-life improvements are free. Bigger vault, random rolls, etc, all free.
-
3 RepliesI paid $60 for Ttk. That was mostly to get the exotic class items and shit. What extras do you get for this?????
-
1 Reply$40 for the expansion. $30 if you want to add on a season pass that likely cuts the cost of the other content by a good $20 or so. Stop lumping them together as if they are one item.
-
6 RepliesTHIS. IS. A. COMET. NOT. A. EXPANSION. HOW. DO. YOU. NOT. KNOW. THIS. YET.

7 RepliesSo looking at the trailer from an objective point of view. You will see that they are changing the menu, adding another menu for "collections" and "lore". They are doing different supers and guns, and that's all nice and fine but, my problem with Destiny 2 was never the mechanics. Sure they released a game that felt halfway done, pinned on 2 DLC to it that should have just been part of the initial game and called it good. Now.. and I want to stress that NOW, after a year they finally have the "feedback" they need from players? Since day one the players have been begging Bungie not to bend them over like they have been. Dear Bungie, Stop -blam!- our wallets. The world looks good... congratulations. But there is no actual lore. You guys have created something so amazing to look at, with so many beautiful things inside this world, but they have no soul. No LORE. No story. It feels like every time you try to tell a story you knuckleheads give up a quarter of the way through. Then decide to fill the rest of the "content" with repetitive missions to unlock more "content". It's just busy work lets be real. I won't be buying the Forsaken DLC. These are changes that should have been patched. If you take away the added mechanics, you leave us with a new PvP mode and a raid. That's all.

3 RepliesHere's the thing that most people seem to be either missing or ignoring. Bungie has admitted they screwed up. The Forsaken expansion is proof of that. This is no longer a new franchise and it should not be going through these growing pains. That was D1. This unnecessarily rebooted game was a decision made by Bungie upper management. Now they are charging for their own recall, which essentially what the fall expansion is, many seem to be ok with this because it is only a game. If Ford or Toyota told you that they were recalling a major part of your vehicle, but you had to pay for that recall how would it make you feel? Would you support that car company ever again? Though the severity of situations are different the principle is the same. We are the consumers of their product. Bungie tried to dictate how we should play their game-how we should consume it. They were wrong. They told us it was better than D1. This was not the case. Bungie misread their core market. Period. Now they want to bring that core market back by reverting back to old systems and then some. Can anyone tell me how many exotics we will, essentially, be paying double for? They have decided not to treat the consumer in a respectful manner. Does it need to be free? No. However, it would go a long way to restoring faith is in community as a whole. Let's not debate value VS enjoyment, but upstanding business practices. If they need to charge for the expansion, fine. But, there needs to be a good will exchange. Either remove the battle pass and Tess and set the expansion for the YEAR including all content at about $40. Or, make it free and keep Tess. They should not be allowed to keep this BS AAA/FTP monetization model. It is not fair to the consumer. Period.
