Their contract does not allow for continuous addition to a single game.

What?? So in order for them to make money they have to put a #2 on a different disc? Makes no sense why a contract would have such thing. It just sounds like to me it’s a way to re-hype the game all over again for sales numbers. I like the series I don’t want to bee too negative about what was announced today, but if bungie continues on this slow route, it’s going to be tough trying to sell Destiny with a 3 at the end.

they are required to make 4 seperate games, destiny 1, 2, 3 and 4

Edited by EVIL VENOM: 6/5/2018 6:13:01 PMWorst decision ever. Selling content is way more efficient imo, but most people would say I’m no developer so I hat I know. I’ll tell you what I do know w, today is a different world than back when vanilla Destiny launched. That said spending more money on buying disc to put content on, leaving old landmarks behind and the second game not selling as well as the first one did. Most games now days like Ubisoft just launch a game and keep making content for it, Rainbow 6 Siege is a great example. They just need to listen to the details when fans ask for something just don’t throw a number behind a title All the resources from the first game are forgotten when they could have mixed it with the new content to be more immersive. At this point how well will the next 2 game will sell are up in the air. People that were hyped about this game are burned and disappointed.

It was most likely Activision's decision

Edited by EVIL VENOM: 6/5/2018 6:40:25 PMI’m pretty sure of it as well. Sadly things like this will most likely hurt the next 2 games. People are already talking about it ( if there were ever more Destiny games)and to be honest if Activision made this decision then it was to hype the game by putting a higher number behind it while forgetting the players progression they have made in the prior game, instead they award us with an emblem has no effect to the game
