Exotic Catalyst Drop %
Can anyone tell me what is the current percentage of the exotic catalyst drop rate? Are there any specifics of what you actually need to do on how to get them? if the exotic catalyst currently is bugged? If I am asking this questions, is because it is taking to much of a frustration just for one of them to drop. It feels like I am trying to get the Hust of the Pit or the Crux of Crota, and those are some of the lowest drop rates in D1. Part of being low drop rate was because of a DLC update.
Just today, I have been able to go up 3 ranks in the crucible (Valor) and there is no drops from either Mida, Jade Rabit, Colony. I have been using to see if it drops but to no avail, I just come empty-handed. I have also done the same with Heroic Strikes, so much that am only a few levels from reaching max rank.

While doing mars missions and public events I got four catalyst. While killing hive enemies in the glacial drift with a legendary sword with no ammo I got Worldline zero, crimson, tractor cannon and darci. All but the crimson I got within 40 minute time span. Those are catalyst that drop from anything that lurks. Worldline drops while killing with a sword. As far as strikes I have done hundreds since the catalyst came out and not one catalyst drop for anyone of us three including myself. Crucible I have done a lot and haven’t seen any drop for myself or anyone in the game. I like how bungie added these for us to grind but the information is vague and it makes people not even want to do them especially strikes since rewards are garbage and add that the nightfall unique reward this week is glitched.

I just posted about that , I’ve done literally hundreds of crucible games since warmind I’ve only ever dropped colony , also I haven’t noticed other people getting them . I’m guessing I’ve done 100 strikes , never dropped one , never seen one drop , dont know anybody who has one

All I know is that the drop rate is much higher than for vanilla D1 exotics. I like that there are actually things out there to grind for. Getting handed all the exotics in a few days of playing is so lame.

Be patient. I had the VW and colony drop last night and today. I only had the borealis for a while but the drops started coming. I just finished the Crimson and I’m grinding the VW atm. One thing I did was change out my ghosts to ones that had faction consumables instead of glimmer boosts. It could be coincidence but after I did that the drops have been frequent. Hope your drops start coming.
