First time raiders only.

Why wont you guys help other ppl learn? Is it that horrible to help new raid runners? Are you that impatient? Are you that arrogant? Give others a chance. Stop asking for so much!!! The dlc has only been out for 3 almost 4 weeks. Calm the heck down. It would be nice to be able to join someone and not get kicked because it's your first raid. You were a noob too someone put up with your crap too. Part of the 80% who hasn't completed Leviathan Raid or EOW because you guys are JERKS. Rant out. Message/request jlsage2630. Please note it's your first raid P.s. i have a 1 year old

  • I do wish people could be more considerate of others. I see people complain about nobody knowing how to do a raid but turn down countless people cause it's a first for them. There would be more people available if the vets would teach the new guys. I try to grab new ones if i can just cause i enjoy it. Sometimes befriend them after and bam. I have a good 30 or so around just in case one of my regular members can't make it.

  • Ive been using Xbox lfg to help run noobs through spire. The people I cannot stand are 1) people who literally ask for the easiest spot, refuse to arm the missiles, refuse to throw the ball at Val etc 2) people who think they are experts from watching some assholes YouTube video. 3) people who lie and say they know what they are doing but they don’t. Jumped in a noob group for Argos last night had everyone say they’ve done it before, I raid reported them and 2 hadn’t ever done it, 1 of them this was their first attempt. They insisted they knew exactly what to do. We obviously wiped and when I tried to explain they cut me off and said they know what to do. 2 more wipes and I left The three rules for a first timer 1) ask questions 2) don’t lie 3) listen

    • If 80% of players haven't finished a raid then why aren't those same players forming their own LFG groups? That's a lot of people to create raid teams and learn together as "newbies". I keep seeing these posts and quite frankly it's getting ridiculous. If you guys spent as much time forming your own groups and learning the raids as you do whining on the forums you'd all have completions by now.

My advice is set up your own team of first timers or less experienced people, thats how everyone did itat the beginning except those getting carried.. Practice until you are comfortable doing it and then you will see how you will eventually do it. Its a very easy raid IMO. Let people ask for whatever requirements they want to, its their choice and there is nothing wrong about it. Some times people feel like helping, others they just want to get it done, and you can blame them for this. Again, set up your own team or look for inexperienced players or players with similar experience than you. Then you will have no problem finding teams. 80% is a fair number, since raids are supposed to be end game activities, therefore only for a few players who reach that level

      • Teaching people the raids can be tedious, but alot of us still do it. The issue is you can't really rely on randoms you've never played with, being willing to spend 4 hours teaching you the raids, just to have you never help them with anything. Or expect every four people who raid, to teach 50 noobs each. But if 80 % have never done a raid, why not make your own group and take them in? That way all of you can learn the mechanics and maybe make some new friends and raid buddies. Unfortunatly, alot of the people complaining about this, only want to get carried through for some easy rewards, without actually putting in the work required. (Not saying you are one of them)

        • Three things. First off if people really want to raid and they are new the easiest way to do so is to join one of the larger clans, they basically exist to get more and more members and typically have rules around not being allowed to kick someone out of a raid just because they are new. The bigger clans basically accept everyone so, join, it is smarter and easier than just finding a random group. The second is that destiny 2 has a few general issues with bringing new people through the raids. The main issue is the token/timer mechanic. Having one person die and wiping the entire team is a massive pain. Especially if they keep dying, which uses up all your tokens and forces everyone to die. In destiny 1 it was much easier to bring noobs through and teach them because it wasnt very hard to compensate for them, this new mechanic makes it significantly more difficult and annoying. Another issue is that the raids are far more mechanic heavy than almost any raid in destiny 1. I mean take te new lair for example, the boss alone has three different ways to try and kill your entire team. It is very complex to explain and understand if you are new. In destiny 1 many of the raids were far less mechanic heavy, the most mechanic heavy raid was taken king, and it was the raid people least wanted to teach and have noobs in. There is a very clear correlation between more mechanics and less of a willingness to teach random noobs. This is why eater of worlds is the most taught raid of the current 3, noobs can be placed on defence their first time and so they have very few mechanics to worry about, so it is easy to teach.

        • in D1 you had more people like that...got my Black Spindle on a Sherpa who would guide everyone through...people complained about that like they complain about raid clan engrams...there are still some good guardians out there...good luck

        • It can take quite a bit of time to teach and get other people to learn the mechanics which is why I don’t Sherpa but people shouldn’t be jerks about it. But most people just look up a YouTube video on how to do it.

People can ask for whatever requirements they want man. You are free to make your own lfg. Everyone who is experienced now was in the same position you are in. They played with inexperienced teams until they cleared the raid a few times and could play with more experienced players. I literally just went through this process with the Spire of Stars raid until I had cleared it 5+ times. Now I will look to play with more experienced players. I don't feel bad if others have to go through the same process that I did. I still sherpa at times. I just did last night... I did a prestige raid with some fairly inexperienced prestige raiders. I spent 2hours and 30mins completing it when it should only take about 50 mins. I don't mind doing that from time to time, but don't ask me to do that all the time.

          • Dude make your own lfg and say you need Sherpas. Not that difficult. Stop busting someone's balls for looking for something specific... something you can do as well. -apparently a jerk Sherpa You can post in looking for group. Here are examples of what an LFG can look like: "newbie to the ___ raid, looking for Sherpas to guide myself and a friend through." #everyoneiswelcome #freshraid #raidnamehere #helpneeded "I know some of the mechanics looking for a Sherpa to help me complete. On phase 2." #helpneeded #Phase2argos "I haven't beat the newest raid. Looking to go in blind, must be blind to the new raid to join" #newplayersonly #everyoneis welcome #newraidlair #360plus
