3 RepliesMy entire reaction to this change is; what is the point of having reward engrams for the raid, and trials if they don't give out raid and trials rewards, or even powerful rewards. Doesn't this just mean that clans who used to do this stuff to help out their clan buddies have less of a reason to do so? There are a lot of people who feel that it should have been this way from the start, but from my perspective, why even bother having reward engrams for people in a clan doing activities together if the rewards are stuff that you could get by yourself in about 15 minutes of gameplay. Whoopdiedo, for completing all activities as a clan you get 2 vanguard engrams and 2 crucible engrams that will just be your generic engrams and not at all better than what you have. If bungie wants to nerf the clan rewards into being meaningless, they might as well have removed them from the game, as having 4 extra generic engrams doesn't help anyone.

In the warmind update, they said they changed raid and trials clan engrams to give you vangaurd and crucible gear at soft cap. Its meant to make you play the raids and trails to get the gear instead of just mooching off your clans sucess. Be thankful you get anything. D1 you didnt get gear unless you did the activity. D2 changed it for casuals. Im glad they changed it back. TL;DR Check original warmind update patch notes.

1 ReplyClans suck,if your clan leader or admin is or was a dick your just a grunt, clans for the sake of clans is trash.
-
Wow... that’s -blam!-ed up. More content taken away because this community is -blam!-ing -blam!- and Bungie is dumb enough to listen to that one dude in the corner.

Bungie changed it with the latest DLC,.....due to some retards that keeps complaining about doing all work and others taking rewards. In my opinion they voided the whole meaning and concept of a clan when people have different skills for certain types of activities. Some of them are good with raids, others with pvp or pve....not necessarily good at all activities. With all these changes what's the point of being in a clan if there is no benefit?

Patch notes. Same for the Trials engram, it drops crucible gear now. And at lower light level. The original intent was to encourage players to clan up by rewarding everyone in the clan with a weapon if a few of the clan mates played well together. If you wanted armor and emblems you still had to do the activity. After CoO, it became obvious there were people only logging in to collect clan engrams, and still using those to level-up without playing, so they nerfed the power. Also, the "if you don't do X, you don't deserve X weapons" faction took hold at Bungie, and instead of doing something compromise-y (for example, only dropping from a limited loot pool for that activity), they decided to be super jerks and make the engrams meaningless.

2 RepliesI'll say this. Clan engrams dropping at 340 is the problem. Not the contents. They should of remained a source to upgrade you. That's the issue. If this remained, people wouldn't mind as much. But right now, it's just garbage
-
They took that away as well as Trials Engrams. You have to do the events now.
-
28 RepliesHmm you want raid gear? Here let me tell you the secret of getting all the raid gear you want. Do the raid. If you can't do the raid then try to do it. If you don't wanna do the raid, then don't expect raid specific loot
-
8 RepliesI swear I remember the advertising behind clan engrams was so the whole clan could share in the rewards of specific activities, even if branches of your clan didn't play them. Reading the comments, it appears as if Bungie decided that wasn't a valid method anymore.
-
1 Replydoes no one read the information Bungie puts out as far as changes? it would seem that people would want to know about the game they play, yet seem content to know nothing then complain about their ignorance.
-
If you don’t raid you don’t deserve raid gear. It’s that simple.
-
5 RepliesNot sure why everyone is up in arms about this, did any of you get raid gear in D1 for not doing a raid? Raid gear is not only meant to help with raid through raid specific buffs (which you don't need if you aren't raiding) but it is also an outward sign to show you completed the hardest PVE content the game has to offer. Why should some shuck with a week in, 50 points below max level and never even entered a raid get those same rewards?
-
Run the raid you will recive all kinds of gear, if your worthy
-
You need to actually do the task with your clan to get the gear. No more riding on the coat tails of other clan members to get easy gear.

10 RepliesPetition to change the name of the Clan Raid Engram to Get something for Nothing Engram.... aka Millennials Engram!
-
yup they made the change, and I personally like it! I was grinding the raid a few months back looking for sins of the past and ti wasn't dropping. my clan NEVER raids, but two of my buddies who are not in my clan are both walking around with SotP, Midnight Coup, etc. "Hey ho is this sins of the past RL? any good, or should I dismantle?" meanwhile these guys wouldn't know a raid if one fell in their faces!! but they are in clans with lots of raiders and they were getting all sorts of raid gear from their weekly clan engrams! I mean why raid, when you can just get stuff for free? now there is incentive.

2 RepliesGo raid, stop leeching.
-
They changed it for the worse now you have to actually raid.
-
Clan engrams did give you raid gear for raid engram and trials for trials engram but it’s gone now and it makes sense but to make them now soft cap aswell means they are useless now, it was supposed to promote clans and give that extra incentive to be in one now it’s just good for shards
-
13 RepliesYeah they changed it to try get more people to actually participate in the raids but it won't work. Most people don't have the time to sit on lfg find a team then go into the raid constantly call out stuff all the way and play ball with calus oh and water his plants too. Most people just want to jump on after a long day and kill stuff :)
-
They need to rename the clan rewards now to just plain $hit
-
2 RepliesWhile it was nice to get a gift or 2 when I didn’t want to do the raid it was kind of dumb to hand out stuff. The incentive to do it wasn’t there. I never would have raided in D1 if I could get the guns I wanted elsewhere. But I did. And I did. Powerful gear to rank up with ain’t the worst thing to get as a consultation prize.
