I hope this isn't intentional

I think the worst part about it is that his fellow guardians nade wasn’t ticking for damage...that basically means its pointless to have everyone throw nades at a boss...it’s gotta be a bug
-
One fire burns as much as two fires.
-
Too bad it doesn't affect all greandes.. stickies would be good for boss dps, which was the only reason to run Starfire protocol in D1 once they changed Viking Funeral to a 15% dmg buff
-
It’s obnoxious for anyone to say “did you expect multiple grenades to affect the same enemy?!” Why would we not expect it? Also, for the people saying that this would be “game-breaking” - lol. Have you seen the damage output from grenades? 5 grenades are probably the equivalent of 2 sleeper shots. People can stack tractor cannon and melting point to beat the EP round 7 boss in 10 seconds, back when it was level 400. But yeah, 5 grenades that output the damage they’re supposed to is game-breaking 👍🏼 Anyway, thanks OP. This is disappointing, but they’re still fun to use. Hopefully Bungie figures out a way to make this worth using on a single target, as it would be nice to run EP without void-bomb/tractor cannon being required for warlocks.

I mean, it's still the best piece of add-clearing gear in the game. One melee gives you 4-5 grenades that you can use to just eviscerate everything else in the room
-
"Working as intended." - BUNGIE.

Edited by WulfPak666: 6/3/2018 1:17:38 PMI guess this just further validates that solar nades are kind of pointless and also explains why every Sunsinger in D1 usually ran Fire Bolts for pvp or stickies for boss DPS.
-
We have to keep in mind we're giving Bungie benefit of the doubt. THIS IS BUNGIE...buzzkillers.
-
I might be a little late to the party, but I used the Sunbracers grenade perk tonight to kill the large Public Event Shank on Titan and each grenade was adding more and more damage over time to it. A good place to test this would also be the tank on the elevator in the Arms Dealer. Some stationary target that doesn't move much.
-
When did bungie say this was meant for one target and that the grenade damage would stack?
-
I think this is a bug. Im pretty sure multiple solar grenades stack and its the same with overtime grenades like pulse. Hopefully it gets fixed.
-
Upon further review and testing, this is a false claim. It may not tick off the damage, vault putting more than one grenade on a target definitely accelerates the rate at which a health bar goes down. Tried in the raid, tossing one grenade from one person does x damage over a set time. Two grenades from the same person accelerates how quickly that health goes down and if the enemy isn't mobile, like in the dogs encounter in the raid, more health is lost. Same goes for supers, dot grenades from multiple people, and pretty much any other permutation you can think up for it.
-
Why on earth would they think a solar warlock that can throw loads of grenades would fit in Destiny? That kinda thing would never happen. Next thing you're gonna tell me they should be able to sell res.
-
Ill just leave this here.
-
Were people really expecting 5 stackable grenades from a charged melee kill?
-
Cozmo confirmed it as intentional
-
I agree and disagree with this. If you were able to deal dps to one target at maximum damage per grenade, it would melt the target almost instantaneously. Not everything is meant for bosses. These are very good for ad clearing. Although I do have a slight disagreement also, I don’t know a solution to the problem aside from just stacking nades. I would maybe suggest every grenade stacked on has a decreased DoT effect but not absolutely zero so that each nade does damage but not an astronomical amount like it would.
-
And there I was, melee'ing a thrall before throwing 5 nades at Nokris....so as usual Bungie, there's no point.
-
Luke Smith wants you throwing money, not grenades.
-
This is extremely disappointing and frankly shocking given the history of this game. There was a line is the Go Fast Vidoc where one of them kinda resigns to the idea that if something ends up broken, they'll just fix it. Cause going the safe route wasn't helping. So I do not understand measures like this. Let the damage stack. I'm giving up an exotic slot to have that ability. It's exotic. And also let zoning grenades between players stack. Why punish us (again) for common sense like eradiating an area to prevent zone capture? Can Destiny not be a game that rewards play/counter-play? And THEN once again here's a thing the community had to discover. No hint at all that this limiting mechanic was a thing. Bungie. Please. Stop doing this. Please. I don't know what YouTubers told you at the summit but please stop doing this. C'mon.

The best part of the video is when your friend is riding the Ogre.. The rest of it was just giberish.. :) Great video.
-
Glad I saw this before I wasted any infusion fodder. Back into the vault you go, Sunbracers.
-
Am I upset? No just wish I would have known this earlier so I didn’t waste my other 4 nades on the boss 🙄.
-
lame ! + i don't play garbage warlock
-
Yeah destiny is full of shit like this.
