Considering that Destiny 2 is apparently still built on the old system that Destiny 1 was, how hard do you think it would be to port Destiny 1 into the Destiny 2 game? At this point it might be wise to consider doing.

At least the planets they haven’t written out of the story, not necessarily the strikes. The Moon, Venus, the rest of Mars, The Reef, The Plaguelands

You know as well as I do, if there were going to do this, it would cost us money.. Would you buy it again?

Edited by JJIBIIIS: 5/31/2018 8:16:11 PMI say bring most if not all through to Destiny 4 and to be honest, the game and it’s content now actually feels like it should have had the amount off content at launch, as it is at warmind! Destiny, is definitely in need off more content.

1 ReplyI wonder why Bungie didn’t include the old Mars patrol areas into the DLC as a surprise. I mean the assets are already there.

14 RepliesEdited by Sneak Attack 65: 5/30/2018 7:43:48 AMWhy not wait a few years and then have every Destiny game packed together into a single experience?

been saying this since day one

How about the opposite.... Put D2 maps into D1, and let us have fun and feel powerful again?

2 RepliesEdited by Riphade: 5/31/2018 12:02:05 AMI was just saying the other night that they should bring back old planets as in between docs for content and that I'd happily pay $40-$50 for them to "remaster" all 4 raids with all the weapons and armor and port them to D2. But, of course, make secondaries great again by making snipers and shotties secondary. #MSGA !!!

Curse of Osiris should have had “the Past” which could bring you back to D1 content or something

1 ReplyThe new engine has a different coloring and shading mechanic and won't work on the D1 system without a lot of work. Considering devs have said in the past that to just move one rock on the landscape in D2 takes up to 2 days of coding and compiling, yea! not going to happens. Even something as simple as just porting over a couple of the old PVP maps won't work because of their size. In D1 networking was 1 host with all guest and the host changed as the connections changed. In D2 everyone is kind of part of the collective and shares the hosting job. The D1 maps are way to big to be shared across 8 players.

1 ReplyThat would take about a year to do in the new engine maybe more. Skyrim remastered took 6 months after announcement and that was in the same engine.
-
But then how would they fleece gamers of more money for DLC?
-
Yes please
-
i would pay for this
-
Don’t worry, they’ll do that for D3. Just another way for Bungie to get you to empty your pockets.
-
Port D1 onto PC
-
2 RepliesThat's Destiny 3. Basically reskinned d1 and d2 put together. Save time and make more money.
-
5 RepliesThey'd rather resell you bits and pieces in dlcs then bring out everything at once, eventually we'll have repaid for d1 before they repeat the process for d3

Edited by LLoydizle: 5/30/2018 7:26:27 PMStill a pretty big job. You can’t just dump thousands of line of Code and assets and expect it to just work. A lot of things will have to be refactored and/or reworked.

"Coming soon $300!"

I was hoping two would’ve been some huge kind of add on to 1 but seeing as Bungie took all that great feedback they were give over 3 years and just flushed it down the drain I’m afraid they would’ve ruined 1 and it would only anger more people than they already did. It’s bad enough that you can’t give someone who has never played Destiny a copy of it and expect them to enjoy 2 as much. I gave my copy of the first to a co-worker but then he played 2 and was like wtf happened to the game and he promptly gave me he first back and said no thanks to the second. I would like to see this game succeed and become better but I’m kinda hoping sales tank in the fall and those people at Bungie realize how dumb they’ve been with the management of this game.

2 RepliesJust make new content for destiny 1
-
I am not even talking about porting everything like guns, missions etc. What i want is the maps which obviously would need to be tweaked to match D2 with patrols, possibly adventures and lost sectors. Make no sense to me that I am on Mars, for example, but all of Mars from D1 basically vanished. I want to be able to travel to all the locations i had before.
-
I don't know about that but i have to wait destiny 3.
-
Nope... backwards. Put D2 content into D1. D1 is ok, they just need to add D2 stuff to it.
