Tired of getting 1 melee’d 1v1. If I’m weak or absolute I understand. But if I get 2 melee hits off against a full health opponent before they hit me twice they should be downed. They shouldnt be able to jump away after 2 hits only to turn around and 1 hit me w their melee or ttk me with a sidearm. I don’t know how much resilience is a factor but it’s frustrating. I don’t want 1 melee hit kills but I shouldn’t have to 3 hit an enemy to bring them down. Had this happen to me several times today. Faster connecting hits should win a 1v1 brawl.
Edit: thinking over it there are a number of character abilities and exotics that would make 1 hit melee kills possible in any scenario. I get that now. I’m just removing those from the equation and just ranting about straight up melee combat.

Godd bless you! Jea it happends too much time so it´s getting boring. I think there is also a manipulation out you can do 2 melees instantly and on your screen you wouldnt see it. I dont know how and where to do but it sucks and its always the same guys who doing it. Maybe its also because some player are from different region maybe NA on EU. Thats not comp. Thats bullshit.

1 ReplySo I have that problem too where I set up the two melee, shoot punch punch, except that my melee almost never makes contact because I don't get the lunge off or, if I get the lunge, it whiffs often. I then get meleed by someone who is easily 6-8 meters away. Poor netcode would account for that, obviously, as there's almost always a .2-.5 second discrepancy between players in my experience regardless of my 10-30ms ping. Lion rampant just got a super buff and now all I'll be doing is flying around firing off Fighting Lion shots all match. No melees, only explosions.

Here's what I would like to see change in the melee mechanic. First change the melee mechanic for the three classes (just melee, not subclass melee ability): Titan melees do more damage, have a slower cooldown time, but meet a standard DPS Hunter melees do less damage, have a faster cooldown time, but meet a standard DPS Warlock melees meet the standard DPS and an average cooldown time between Hunter and Titan, but their uniqueness is their (please forgive me for I know not what I say) [i][b]slight[/i][/b] increase to melee range. (Probably where it's at right now) No doubt resilience plays a factor into the 2 or 3 melee discussion, but I personally don't know at what level. Do we have a video showing melee effects on resilience? @Zelrons ?

I don't even have time to explain why I don't have time to explain....

35 RepliesWhat gets me is still how much weaker a hunters melee in s compared to the other classes , being a hunter main in d2 is completely crap I have Mained a hunter since d1 yet titans ( supposed to be tanks ) warlocks supposed to be high recovery yet hunters are slower than both , Melees are way weaker then both etc....... yet invis hunters need a nerf cuz they are harder to kill yet healing rifts and titans hiding behind shields doesn’t this game is crap apparently bungie will never learn

What class were you? Who (class, subclass) 1 hit melee you? Are you sure it was 1v1? (Could have been shot from team member from far away). Give some more details before whining.

All i saw was the melee hit and died no idea what other damage was done. My point is you are not getting 2 hit most likely it is 3 hits you just do not see the 3rd hit due to the lovely connection issues from p2p.

You can definitely improve so that this doesn't happen, but I agree. I also think that a shoulder charge (as a hunter main) should be a one hit or at least bring them down to 10-30 hp
