"Descent. Chasm. Ledge." is killing my desire to play until reset
Doing patrols, public events, and killing high value targets over and over again just to get the same sleeper node I've gotten over and over again is beyond frustrating. It just seems like another bonehead design that inexplicably made the final game. Once we get a sleeper node, it should never pop up again. You could have raised the number of resonate stems to unlock a node from 4 to 8, or you could have added sleeper nodes to every planet to give us a reason to go back to those worlds other than a flashpoint milestone. The tedious chore aspect of farming in this game is aggrevating. Farming can have a sleeker, more goal driven desire if you stop and think about stuff for a minute.

3 RepliesIf you create the override frequency in an area, it'll never be the area that you're in. Therefore I go to the Descent everytime so I never have to go there for a Node.

5 RepliesOh, and you could get an emblem for each planet you collect all the nodes from and after collecting every node possible, a mission becomes available that leads to a unique boss that drops an exotic only attainable from defeating him. This is endgame.

3 RepliesThis whole -blam!-ing thing shouldve been implemented as a knock-off list until all 40 are found. ESPECIALLY because the only GODDAMN reward is an emblem! PLUS the sleeper just requires 15, not 15 different ones. Bungie's team that keeps doing this type of shit is whats wrong with this game. "Better keep the playerbase interested until sept, so lets makes these nodes rng, because that is one SPIFFY -blam!-ING EMBLEM to wear afterwards"- bungie

I got all the way to 36/40 before I realized that you can dismantle the duplicate nodes and move on to the next one. FML

I ground out 160 stems thinking this would unlock all the nodes. Nope. I keep getting the Warsat node.

You realize that the quest step for the Sleeper only requires that you activate 15 nodes? It doesn’t matter if it’s the same one 15 times in a row, you’ll get the Sleeper. Otherwise, it’s just busy work for nothing when you get all of them.

Agree bro. It often seems like they don't value our time playing. Considering we only get an emblem after finding all nodes they shouldn't keep giving us repeats.

They should have just made it take 6-10 items per node, no RNG. Would have been way more fun IMO.

2 RepliesIt’s not just the nodes either there is only a set amount of times I can swing my sword at hive or run strikes or play crucible to try and get catalysts to drop before I loose interest in the game

21 RepliesEdited by Fury: 5/29/2018 12:45:53 AMI just got #40 yesterday. I started writing down every one I completed. Duplicates I immediately deleted. Compare your list with an online list of all known locations. Once you complete an area, open all further nodes in that location. It was indeed a grind. Doing EP / Public Events I got over 100 stems, burned through half of them to get my last node. New emblem is dope. Not sure its worth the suffering grind... LOL Perhaps there is more to come for us treasure hunters.

I came across another guardian with 40/40 on the node emblem during Iron Banner on Sunday. He was also 380+ already. I was like, "dude, how much time do you spend playing this game?" ...and... "how many nodes do you think he had to access? 200? 300?" :-D

I don't know what it is about the Descent nodes, but they are literally every other time for me. My main one is the warsat one, but the other two I get very frequently too. I feel your pain, brother.

3 RepliesAt 35/40 but what's really bugging me is the lack of BrayTech weapons. I only get the AR and sniper, when the schematic actually does drop. Loads of duplicate notes and I've looted every one of them. 4 ARs and 5-6 snipers and not one Scout or whatever.
