I'm sick of this Graviton Lance Hunter meta shit
Jesus. Ya'll at Bungie take one step forward and 10 steps back when it comes to Crucible.
Arcstrider being over-buffed but Sentinel still hasn't had the basics fixed with it.
Making Graviton Lance a two burst, behaving as if everyone WASN'T going to use it.
Handings Hunters some exotic that regenerates all their health when they dodge - yeah, good one Bungie. Ya'll are clueless.
Edit: So, from what the general consensus is, and from the info I've gathered, I can safely determine that ya'll just some hunter ass bitches

I feel like people are in ignorant denial of this game. There are so many "intelligent" people really wasting themselves defending some of the stuff in this game. The GL isn't that bad and a lot of people say this, but what people fail to pick up on is when every one is running the same gun, the game is incredibly stale. 95% of my deaths are guaranteed to come from the GL, whether I've been outgunned or randomly picked from a distance in some absurd angle. I will never understand how people could see the usage stats of the GL and think "Yep, perfectly balanced game." I hate posts like this because it brings out the toxicity of this damned community, from every angle. People blindly defending, lolcows saying the same old, copy and pasted "get good" (which if anyone replies to this I'll get one of them) to people just trying to trash talk the game without any constructive feedback. Personally I think games with a premise like Destiny just does not work for PvP. There are those who just adapt to it as if it was made specifically for them (like the god tier players) but usually its just random chance. Destiny is a game where there are clear power weapons. Clear differences between a good gun and a bad gun. That is the definition of unbalanced.

Arcstrider is only common because it's the only good Hunter subclass, it would be in line in terms of usage if the other 2 subclasses weren't complete shit. Arcstrider also isn't super insanely god tier. The exotic isn't even that insane, it's completely moot if you're shot even once... You have summoned me

1 ReplyEh, the gun doesn't bother me much. I use a, "Lincoln Green" pulse rifle and a, "Hard Light" as the back up gun and I don't feel like I get outgunned by the, "Gravitron Lance". At least not to the point I'd complain as if that gun is overpowered or whatever... I'm not a Crucible beast either, so maybe my opinion isn't worth much. I play a fair amount of Crucible though, and I at least don't have a negative KD. If I can hold my own, you probably could do better than me. Possibly use a different set of weapons and see what combats the meta best for you! I will be honest and say it gets old playing against so many Hunters every game though. I'd rather see a variety of character types and classes when playing because it'd be more fun. I don't care about the meta though. I use what I like and what's fun to me. I guess the ones who play the meta do so because they need every advantage they can get. If they need the crutch because their game is broke and weak then let them because they must need it. Try to have some fun and play your game. Let them do the same. Don't stress yourself over it.

Unless I’m mistaken, they have no ranged attack in D2? I don’t have any issues with GL, it is a good mid-range weapon IF you hit 3 crits, otherwise you will lose. Scouts beat it at long range (albeit there aren’t many maps with true long range engagements), and many things beat it up close. Also, I’d take my invis dodge from before minus the Wormhusk over the nerfed dodge with it.

Today I actually saw more Polaris Lance then anything else. Felt good. But I can understand your frustration. I will use it now as well but rotate it out for other guns as to not get burned out. I’d hate to get so used to it and it get nerfed for whatever reason. The catalyst will make it much harder to deal with as it will have hidden hand. Like it needed it lol

It isn't a two burst. Increase your resilience. You must also be new to the game. There always was and will be a meta. However, there are still many viable options unlike in the past.

There is always an 'Easy" load-out. Die from it enough and others start doing it as well, Monkey see, monkey do. It is the META but this META is not nearly as bad and stagnant as MIDA/URIEL's, there are TONS of Viable options right now. I've been loving the FightingLion/HomeForTheLost combo. IF you can pull off the Direct grenade hit and immediately swap to the hand-cannon and pull off the instant headshot you can kill some one so fast you can hear them screaming at you from the otherside of the map where they respawned. The grenade causes many people to flinch and panic the moment their shields vanish since the don't often expect it.

Because the moment Bungie makes any weapons that are strong enough to make them worthwhile to chase as loot....and to breath some power-fantasy into PVE play.... ...all you Crucible players start to bitch and moan about it being overpowered and how "sick" you are of dying to it. I KNEW you kids would start whining about GL the moment Bungie revealed it, and I saw its AoE damage. ...and sure enough, Warmind hasn't even been out a month yet and all the Nerfherders and Crucibabies are already WHINING up a storm. YOU...are why we got the vanilla Destiny 2 that we got. YOU..are the reason why this game has a broken gear system...and all the games weapons were nerfed down to a dull and boring SAMENESS. And stop bitching about Arcstrider. That class was just buffed to the point where it had to be taken seriously from a competitive stand point. The most dominant subclass in the Crucible right now are Striker Titans.

I would tell you that I did not see a lot graviton lance like people said. Although it's a Hunter-Fest in Crucible but I'm still a proud Titan against them. Always feel good to punch them down to the ground.
