It's one emote out of a hundred and all these people are up in arms crying about it. When did people become so entitled that they feel like literally everything should be obtainable through the same channels? It's a freaking emote!!! Why does it even matter?! If you want it pay for it, if you dont, move along. I simply cannot understand how something so trivial as one single emote can cause so many people to get so upset. I understand that the Eververse is in a crappy state but come on, it seems like everyone is just out looking for things to condemn this game over. Everyone is so touchy these days. Just calm down, play the game, and enjoy all the other emotes that you didn't have to pay for.
PS: Feel free to flame me. This is my honest opinion on the matter and no, I dont support Eververse. I haven't spent any money on Silver since Sept 2017.

1 ReplySalt emote then cry emote - you get real tears

7 RepliesIt's half the price of this expansion. It's a blatant cashgrab during a time when Bungie desperately needs every ounce of goodwill they can muster. It's explicitly an Iron Banner emote that clearly belongs in the Iron Banner loot pool and yet it has managed to instead be locked out of it's own event. This ain't complicated, man.

1 ReplyEdited by Shadowdragon: 5/27/2018 9:15:32 PMWhat is not to understand? The DLC is worth $20 and 1 exotic emote is worth half the price. The D2 game has been nothing but shit, treating the fanbase like rㅤetarded wallets, and so much monetary schemes that's getting older than a red wine stain. People are sick and tired of Bungie's shenanigans, I'm surprised people are willing to stick around and even attempt to defend them. I'm here because I pre-ordered this shit stain like an idiot and I will not have my money go to waste!

9 RepliesYou don't seem to fully grasp the problem, so I'll just copy my response from another thread.
It costs half as much the entire Warmind expansion and there's no way to find it through gameplay. The reaction would've been much better if Bungie made better attempts to address many of Destiny 2's biggest problems more thoroughly before pulling another cash grab. That's why the community is sighing over this, and it's a perfectly reasonable response. I'd be very concerned if everyone shrugged and said "A cosmetic that costs 1/2 as much as an expansion for a heavily flawed game like D2? This is perfectly okay!"
2 Replieswhat can 113 564 Bright dust get me?

IMO it’s a lame emote not worth a penny ( and I absolutely love anything IB). The problem is it’s an event related item stuck behind a paywall, which Bungie said they would do again after the Dawning fiasco.
-
I don’t mind it, it’s a great way to show people that you’re stupid enough to spend ten dollars on an emote haha. Seriously, who’s going to see someone bust that out and be impressed?
-
there's one emote which is clearly better and costs nothing. you just have to work for it. 'luxurious Toast' but i still think bungo should be fixing the game and trying to push us to spend more money

Jet Set WillyIt’s all going concording to plan 😂🤣 - old
Having the IB emote in Eververse is fine. Needing to purchase silver to buy the emote is the issue. There should be a way to grind for the emote in game through playing IB. If people want a shortcut or to guarantee that they get it by purchasing it then that would be fair enough. -
The fact is, it's an Iron Banner emote it should be EARNABLE through Iron Banner!!
-
When i read the title I thought you were complaining about people using the "Cry" emote
-
You don't control other people's opinions so I'm afraid you just have to accept that people are annoyed by it. Including me
-
It's overpriced. I think that's perfectly fair for consumers to point out in a non free to play game. Hopefully the feedback with a little more tact will influence these types of decisions by Bungie in regards to fair price points for their cosmetics in the future. This is why it's important that customers express dissatisfaction when it is warranted. So that this type of thing doesn't happen again in the future. If consumers choose not to express how they feel, and Bungie goes by sales alone, prices stay where they are, or go up. If it's ten dollars now, why not twenty later, or thirty, or fifty? It's not the emote it's the principal. We expect fair value for our dollar.

is there a new crying emote available for sale in eververse?
-
Lol, I thought you meant the "cry "emote. I was like " why would people be angry at a normal emote now?"
-
You don't get it! I want it, & I don't want to pay for it! I should get everything I want, as soon as I want it! Can't you see Bungie is ruining gaming by selling cosmetics?!
-
2 RepliesI would argue that’s it’s stupid that we have to buy an item in a game instead of, you know, earning it? I don’t care if micro transactions are cosmetic, if it’s in the game it affects my experience

4 RepliesI've read and heard about the uproar so decided to log on last night to see what this emote is all about. I couldn't even find it. Where is it and what does it look like. Do I have to obtain a certain rank in IB to see it???

*Uses "crying" emote*

uh, no.....

But I like my crying emote...

9 RepliesYou threw your money at your screen didn't you?

I agree.

It's not even that good of an emote. Maybe that is where the angst is coming from. 10.00 for an emote that is worse than most others. I dunno I agree that Bungie can charge whatever for anything and let us decide to buy or not. I think most of us are fed up with the state of the game and how Bungie has made some poor choices. So now any little thing will cause an uproar.
