A very long time ago, at least a few years ago, I read through the Last Word and Thorn grimoire cards. In this there was no mention of where Dwindler's Ridge was or where on Earth Palamon was. There was a description mentioning a tall climb and a woodland forest but after that it was all speculation. So here's my theory: Your character is the reincarnated Dredgen Yor. Okay, hear me out real quick. So, Dredgen Yor abandoned his ghost before his rampage. He died on Earth on a taller peak on Dwindler's Ridge, but who's to say that its name was lost to time? Where your Guardian is resurrected is tall on a peak overlooking a woodland forest and far in the distance is what appears to be the remnants of a city. Could it be modern day Palamon in the distance? Okay, let me back up. In Destiny, your character is said to have been a powerful Guardian once. Dredgen Yor checks that box. His weapon was taken which explains why you wake up unarmed, another box checked. He died on Earth, and another box checked. Guardians could theoretically be awoken as a different class. I'm still not sure if Yor was a Hunter (because of his in-game cloak) or if he was a Titan (like Destinypedia states), either way stranger things have happened. I don't know if my theory holds any weight upon further inspection, but I'd like know if it's possible that my theory is true. If not, it's fine. I'd just like to know.
