Battlefield 5 launching in October, good or bad idea?
Same month as CoD
Same month as RDR 2
I personally am not buying CoD, no interest at all. I haven't bought a CoD game since WaW.
I am 100% buying RDR 2 so there will be no point in buying BF5 right away if I'm not going to play it.
I will most likely get BF5 months after it releases just like I did with BF1.

Doesn't really matter the masses will flock to it, and I'm not buying it. Oh and I'm sure there will be intrusive micro transactions because money. Also for those worried about Titanfall 3, assuming it does come out remember EA already got what they wanted out of doing it the last time. Respawn is theirs now so no need to worry about them snuffing out a release. Love how terrible companies persist because of complacency.

Bad idea. CoD doesn't matter, the two titles really don't steal too many players from each other, they're totally different types of shooters. Red Dead though they should get the hell away from.

wont matter itll sell just fine if they stick to their formula. while im not too fond of cods after mw1 i can see myself buying bo4 just for the BR mode if it is decent. i really like the genre and imo there is not a single game that has done a good job of covering it.

5 RepliesNot buying BO4. No campaign, over done zombies mode and blackout are to blame for that. Not buying RDR2. I didn't like RDR so. I'll wait for EA Access with BF5. It sounds better compared to BF1, but the setting is a let down and I have BF4.

I never care for battlefield even tho I always get it for free. I’ll play cod 4 cuz that game will have every mode I need and want to play. I’m glad campaign is gone, let’s focus on what cod users actual like

Seems fine to me, they’ve always launched near end of the year vs CoD, halo and other big IPs and did fine. Red Dead is only going to pull sandbox players first, if one ants a shooter, red dead means little. I’m curious to see how rockstars sakles will look like after their mod fiasco, will it hurt Sales or be business as usual 🤔 probably won’t do much as Bethesda hasn’t been hurting on making people pay for mods.

Cod is a bad idea. After BF1, new battlefield is a hard sell for me so I'm going to say that's a bad idea. Red Dead is R* which is a subsidiary of Take Two. Also a bad idea. It's all bullshit and it's bad for ya.

I can go watch snipers lay back at spawn in the other ones without needing to buy a new game game The only question i have is who really cares?

I am unsure about battlefield 5 and rdr2 at the moment. I will decide when they are shown at E3. I have never touched a Cod game in my life and i am certainly not planning to after they removed the campaign in favor of a battle royale mode.

1 ReplyBFV with friends, Red dead when solo or want to play solo. I've always ran 2 games this way, as of lately, it's R6 with friends and The Witcher Complete Edition when solo. Can't wait for October.
