Scatter grenades are the worst grenades ever in destiny 1 and 2. But yet the Graviton lance has the same type of sub-munitions or Void projectiles and they work perfectly.
The way i would fix scatters is to first give them the same tracking that the void projectiles GL has by default after they detonate. But also They should detonate based on close proximity. Meaning even if thrown at a target in the air the grenade explodes and the seekers track the target.

Good lord I miss Nothing Manacles. Used to main Voidwalker and enjoy people and critters being deathly afraid of my little seeker orbs of death. Tossed properly, you could end like 4 people. Now? Ehh...requires a charge up and even then it's hit or miss. Hopefully those lovely glowy gauntlets make a return...

2 RepliesScatter grenades with nothing manacles was overpowered in D1. Kills were super easy, you’d get it back instantly after a kill, and that bounce glitch was so rare it wasn’t even a problem. On D2 you could overcharge it to get tracking but I never really tried it in pvp as I’m sure it’s not as crazy good as it used to be.

2 RepliesI personally liked scatter grenades in D1, and they were better than vortex grenade. Scatter grenades could actually kill people and enemies. Nothing Manacles made the grenades broken if they landed near someone's feet. I liked the sound effects of scatter grenades more in D1 as well. I'd like the blast radius to be bigger and an increase in damage as well.

Scatters track just as well, they just have a dramatically shorter lifespan.

Only pulse archetype is effective enough to be used. I find it baffling bungie never reworked grenades and melees in sandbox updates. Sticky/mine archetype is also worthless if not more so then the scatter grenade of the voidwalker.

I like this idea. I've never really cared for my warlocks, but those grenades were my favorite ones to use when I did. There's just something satisfying about watching purple little explosives rain down like razor hail to destroy your target. They should do about 90 damage if they all hit. I don't remember how many pop out but I think there are 6? That would be about 15 damage each which isn't too bad. Overcharge them for improved blast radius and extended tracking time.

Voidwalker grenades suck in PvP. That's the short and sweet of it.
