I appreciate how the NASCENT DAWN questline is handled
I had to point this out....great job Bungie!
I would really like to see a lot more of these type of activities since you can use existing content and just add new objectives each week. On top of that, you can vary the objective difficulty and the type of rewards each week.
It actually feels like an interesting/meaningful grind and would keep a lot of the solo players engaged. A huge chunk of your audience.
EDIT : The Lost Prophecy Verses/Forge is also another noteworthy example. That really seemed to occupy us past the CoO campaign and milestones.

From your post im guessing no-After doing 10 more escalation protocolsand 3 more heroic strikes bungie rewards you with the same bray scout as the previous mission but masterworked. Soooo not worth it. If i wanted it masterworked i would have just done it myself. I like doing quests and I dont mind the time gate but the rewards are shit. They couldnt think up a unique gun for a reward for each quest step? They couldnt think up unique missions for the quest steps instead of just making us do more heroic strikes and more escalation protocols? Bungie keeps recycling content or making us do the same thing we have done hundreds of times before. Im not trying to hate, I love doing quests. I even do them on all my characters just bc Im a completionist but can they give us something new to do with the quests? Can they give us unique rewards each step of the way?

5 RepliesI concur. its not something you can smash out in one day when the MS resets and bitch about not having anything to do 3 weeks later. good move for them - lets just hope that the weapon itself is worth it. because the amount of salty Ginas that will flood these forums.... fetching the popcorn

1 ReplyIt’s great minus the escalation protocol part. Add matchmaking to that and it would be perfect. Spent all day trying to get a few rounds done and could only find a group for 1 round.

12 RepliesIt's not really a grind though, it's artificially extended by time gating. Plus once week 5 comes around, any new player can do it in a day.
