Iron banner exotic emote is too far
First time post on the forums. I'm not normally one to complain, and have been involved with the Destiny community since before Destiny 1 alpha. I take a lot of bungie missteps in stride.
This exotic iron banner emote being locked exclusively to ever verse through silver purchases astounded me. Surely the iron banner emote also dropped as an iron banner reward right? Cool reward for season 3 to chase right? No. Cozmo confirmed on Reddit this is not the case. Buy it with silver because it has no drop chance in game.
Supposedly this is what the community wanted. My mistake because I guess I misunderstood that #RemoveEververse drama a while back. It seemed to me people want ever verse to go away. But since it's not, would be happy to have purchases you can make for specific items you want. Not lootboxes with random contents hoping for one or two specific things. Bungie seems to have taken that as here, you can buy event rewards now. No need to participate. Coolest items can only be bought with cash.
So what's next then ? This is only a cosmetic item. Emotes are fun But useless. But the same can be said about the calus emote. No need to run the raid. Just buy it from ever verse? Trials cosmetics?
Bungie said long ago that your gear was supposed to tell the tale of your accomplishments. Iron banner loot should drop through iron banner participation. Not be locked behind another Pay wall. I think this is a big "f you" to the community that has stuck with the game despite all the d2 controversy and promises.
The icing on the cake? The emote is $10 US. half the price of an entire expansion of content.
This is a step too far and felt i had to speak out this time, for what it's worth. Thanks for listening.

Well if this is a sign of bungie listening to the community I can’t wait for September. Great it’s not in a loot box, but half the price of warmind AND directly linked to a specific event??? 😂😂😂😂😂 Who decides this? Who? With the current state of D2? Who? This should be an Iron Banner reward, the fact that you can only get it with silver is a joke. Do bungie not learn their lessons with the backlash from the dawning? We wanted event rewards all earnable in game if you put in the time, not sold to us through eververse exclusively. #RemoveEververse

You arent entitled to earn everything placed in the game and many companies for other loot based games employ the same practice of specific cosmetic items that cost real money. I wouldnt doubt that you are the same idiots complaining that you need to buy a $100 keyboard for an emblem.

Buy the damn emote or just forget about it, iron banner sucks anyway. The iron banner used to be about hard work now its child's play. the crucible was for children iron banner was for people who worked all month to hit a light level and see it pay off. The scrubs with weak light levels got recked wanna get mad? take yo ass to crucible now it's just dumb and pointless, you cant even level up from it any more a complete waste of time 6v6 is not enough. The level advantage needs to come back items need to drop at high light levels again. when they get that right then I will cry an about an emote

No wonder this game is so damn lacking in too many areas. All that hard work has been put into looking for ways to milk gamers. Can't wait to see what Tess is offering in this next DLC that will be lacking as well. That's okay for me though. I'll let the bata testers pay Bungie to get this game going somewhere in late Y2 maybe Y3 if it actually gets anywhere. I'll just spend my couple hundred dollars on something else that is actually worth it.

You should see games like Guild Wars 2. Their in game store releases new cosmetic items to buy with real money on an almost daily basis. This is nothing. Just don’t buy it.

Its so obvious that they put more effort in to loot tied to microtransactions than in game content. I know the bungie apologists will still deny it. L O L

i don't personally care about emotes being only purchasable through eververse (ships, sparrows, armor, exotic skins, etc however should absolutely not be). However, throwing a 10 dollar price tag on that is absolutely ludicrous. Bungie should be absolutely ashamed of that act. Either that, or Bungie must think they are giving us an absolute BARGAIN on the DLCs being only 10 dollars more than the cost a single fcking emote.
