If I want to be sweaty (which I don't, I'll save that for the gym), I can go play comp. But quickplay to me was always the casual, everyone can have some fun game mode. This streak just takes the fun out of it and makes me focus on the W. As a solo player, you're only going to hit a 5 streak once every 32 runs if matchmaking is working properly.
So is this another behavioral modification attempt to get us all playing PvP in groups, or do you just like taking the fun out of your game?

Does hitting the 5 streak effect how many points you earn? Because if so, it’s not quick play. Just a more relaxed competitive
-
Solution: don't worry about it. you get points regardless.

Quickplay is supposed to be run 'n gun fast paced gameplay. Yesterday, I was matched against a team with one guy creeping around corners in the crouched position like he was on a stealth mission. Take that sweaty try-hard crap to competitive.
-
I play quickplay everyday, I wish we could have a lone wolf playlist that’d be awesome Too many times I find myself on a weak team battling against a full fireteam and other times I find myself with a decent team annihilating the opponent only for Saladin to call it - frustrating

Edited by WaylandLoner: 5/23/2018 5:57:26 PMyou arent alone. i play rumble for fun on the few times i crucible, but now i see a lot of people here play qp for fun, i wont worry so much about people trying to scream abuse if im having a bad match. certainly wont worry about streaks there. imo those are for bungie trying to trap players trying underhanded things out before using them in competitive.
-
I don't worry about streaks in QP, you don't lose progress it only slows down, there's no giant carrot except bragging rights and cosmetics tied to resetting so it's no big. I just play for fun.
-
then don't worry about them. most times I don't even notice, and I'll probably flip valor somtime next week.
-
I don't worry about streaks or even winning. I expect to lose most of the time so if I win it's actually a bonus, I just focus on ornament grinding while I do quickplay. Hence I always go into crucibles with pulse, HC and sniper these days.
-
If playing for Valor, do what you always have been. Ignore the streak as it doesnt even matter in Quick. No loss penalty? Eventual ACTUAL level up? Promised Powerful gear at the end of the rainbow? Keep on, Guardian, and screw the streak 😁
-
why worry about it them? the worry and pressure are self generated, if you just want to have fun do it. the game mode hasn't changed, just an additional tracker added.
-
Then don’t worry about it! Just play how you want! Valor means nothing with no rewards
-
It's not important, you don't lose anything for it.
-
I agree!
-
I don't pay any attention to that. I play for fun and could careless about this ranked crucible.
-
It's easy just don't worry about it. If you put a few wins together woohoo go you. If you lose a whole bunch oh well. The only person putting pressure on you is you.
-
I take no notice of streaks whatsoever.
-
Does streaks give anything???
-
You level up regardless, I always play for fun.
-
Don’t worry about streaks, quickplay is a lot more enjoyable if you kick back and just play for fun.
-
Have you considered just not worrying about the streak?
-
You don't have to focus on streaks. The reason you don't lose Valor is for the very reason that you pointed out. Players are in quickplay because they want to have a casual experience. You don't have to focus on streaks if you don't want to. They aren't there for you to focus on, they're just there as an added bonus for people who do really well.
-
It really has no bearing on the casual aspect of quickplay, though. That’s all you. I play quickplay casually the same way I always have. I barely even register the streak thing.
-
I don't care about streaks in QP.
-
Too bad... Play Bungle's way or go elsewhere.
-
The streaks don’t really matter. It’s the amount of full meta 4 stacks sweaty players that take away a chance to relax and have fun.
-
Why are you worried about streaks
