Yes. I ended up standing at the top of the stairs on the left side. I would just take my time and pick off the adds. I would use grenades to drop the Psion shield the puts some shots in. Anytime I took even the smallest damage I would retreat down the stairs. Rinse and repeat.
Not exactly a heroic moment but it got the job done.
Edit: did it as a 346 I believe

This is how I did. Use stairways. Kill gladiators for ammo. Only took about 7 hours.
