If there’s one thing that I want in a weapon or vehicle, it’s a badass design.
Unfortunately, that’s why I hate the beginning of a game: the starting equipment looks so boring. However, in the endgame of most games, there’s always a badass-looking weapon or cool armor to collect.
What are are some of your favorite equipment in games that look cool?
Here’s my answer:
MHW
The Xenojiiva armor set in general makes for a badass looking hunter. The glowing veils that extend from the armor, the blue glow that darkens and lightens... it all compliments so well. It’s my favorite armor set in the game in terms of looks.
The Elite Riot Gear from Fallout New Vegas 👌

Brotherhood from Final Fantasy X is absolutely gorgeous. And it gets a buff in the middle of the game to keep it relevant.

My d1 hunter fashion of who I don't have a pic of right now. Edgy Excalibur looks pretty cool. Deadric armor and dragonscale armor are the coolest sets in Skyrim. Might have a bit more of a bias towards dragonscale rather than daedric because I've used it so much more... Plenty of badass skins in Overwatch and Heroes of the Storm. Namely crusader Reinhardt and D.Va the destroyer.

Personally, I love my Characters Armorset

Edited by Sturm with no Drang: 5/23/2018 6:03:25 AMThe Nergigante armor wasn’t much of my fave, but that Greatsword? Whooo, I’d take that little lady out for a date. All the other greatswords have oversized handles that aren’t meant to be held by humans hands, but Nergi GS has absolutely beautiful proportions. That aside, here’s some others I really like: Warframe: Vauban Prime
This gentleman is difficult enough to get with his parts being as hard to gather as any other Prime, but the kicker is how much of a HUGE resource sink this fella is when it comes to building him. Nevertheless, I love his design since not all Prime versions do the regulars much justice, like Rhino P and Ember P for example. Good times, good times. I don’t like most of Halo 5s armor, but the Helioskrill looks great, with special mentions to Reach’s armor in general, and Halo 3’s Hayabusa set

Yes I agree, Xeno armor looks great. Unfortunatly I do not really have much use of the skills on it so I hardly wear it. The game definitly needs some transmorph options. As for my pick it must be my Frost WF with the deluxe skin in primarily black with some silver and gold weilding a Shiva and Aegis Prime in the same color pallet.

I think I’d also like to bring up the ingot armor from MHW.

1 ReplyFor Honor just released an update where you can make your gear look like any other piece you may have previously owned. So even if it's a level 1 common, but looks cool, you can apply the look to rare or legendary.(For a boatload of steel)

1 ReplyHonestly, D1 had the reverse problem. The early-game gear had a lot of cool pieces while the legendary gear would sometimes feel unexciting. Remember how the starter Hunter scarf was the only cloak without a hood for a while? Or those cool PS-exclusive rare armor sets that looked much better than many legendaries?

Edited by Rhynerd: 5/21/2018 7:15:44 PMBlacklight Retribution has great looking equipment for both new and old players. My second or third favorite helmet is probably one of the first lightly armored helmets you can get (not pictured).

2 RepliesOne thing that really bugged me about Darksiders II, is I was actually more a fan of the low level armor sets than the high level ones, with few exception. Like, early on, you could get this awesome looking shawl. You can’t get any shawls later though, unless you want to stick with crap gear. I mean, you can technically get a high level variant, but it’s going to be worse than the higher tiered gear.
