Hey, Bungie.
I'm begging you, please don't make shaders consumables anymore...
It's times like about 15 minutes ago where I question my sanity. Here's an anecdote for you:
I let my 11-year-old brother -against my better judgement- play on my level 27 warlock. I had put a legendary shader (that I only had 5 of) on the armor with hopes of infusing it until it hit max. defense. I left him to it because as an avid gamer himself, he knows not to mess with another man's build, or so I thought. All was good until I walked in and watched him play. Not only had he changed my ENTIRE loadout but had changed my shader from a legendary to an uncommon, more namely, 'Avalon Teal' which I have around 9 of. This is because 'It looked cool.' and he wanted to match his friend. I swear to you, I have never been nearer to tears. The time and effort it took to save that bright dust... All wasted. If this were Destiny 1, we would be all fine and dandy. But no. No, we are in harsher times, where shaders cost an arm, leg, and kidney or an insane amount of luck.
Please Bungie, save another Guardian from the grasps of people who know nothing of the value of shaders.
Please, we all beg.
Please O' Mighty Creators.
PS: Before I get any kind of backlash, can someone confirm or deny that they are fixing this?

Indeed the shader system is awful. Bungie took 1 step forward and 100 steps back with D2. I much preferred the old shader system with the vault and everything, wish it would come back.
-
I'd say keep it the way it is BUT.. add an extra page or 2 for storage and give us the option to delete multiples of them. That extra glimmer/legendary shards can come in handy at times
-
I would ALMOST rather pay for certain shaders rather then grind for hours for JUST a shadder that I MIGHT not get. Don't get me wrong I like D2 and I often wander the feild pointlessy PVE'ing for no reason but trading in bags of tokens to get shaders I don't want is truly frustrating. Especially when, should you start using a new armor set, you will have to re obtain those five shaders...all over again.

Apparently its happening around september update

Edited by Calevis24: 5/20/2018 1:45:59 AMHere’s the deal... They want to increase grind and play time? Chasing shaders was one of the longest grinds you could chase in D1! You might be at level 30 with a faction and STILL not have all four of their options...oh, and you wouldn’t have ANY of the other factions if you hadn’t pledged yet. There were some shaders that I literally chased for years that drop RNG style from strikes, but I was STOKED when I got them. There were also others you could chase by doing a raid etc...so basically, an awesome system... But here’s the deal... It ain’t coming back cause they are all built around Eververse and real money now. End of story.

Yeah please d1 shaders were the best

This shader system sucks... its 1 of my biggest issues with the game since launch
-
Sorry, but that would reduce Tess' inventory and we can't have that. ~Love Bungie

I don't care if I don't receive glimmer or shards for the damn things, I just want them all gone, like now!!
-
Reusable shaders should have never changed.
-
Or at least give some good ones.

At one time, back in January, they had shaders on their road map. They quietly took it off :( I have not heard any news since then. I am assuming that any fix they do will just be to make them easier to delete. To do otherwise, would damage the value of their precious Eververse. Wouldn't want to do that, now would we Bungie?
