Nokris' true heresy

From what where given in game it seems as if nokris was screwing around with necromancy was labeled as a heretic for it I refuse to accept that because i find hard to believe necromancy is where the hive draw the line (and that they'd wipe you from their history because of it) I believe we knew what nokris' "crime" was all along He and Crota let vex into oryx's throneworld As punishment Oryx threw Crota (and possibly nokris) through the portal they opened I believe they were thrown into a vex dimension similar to the vault of glass Crota was able to get out successfully but Nokris didn't and like Praedyth was wiped from history and all that remained of him was wiped from history leaving no memory of him But unlike Praedyth Nokris eventually found his way out and that's how he got to mars So yeah Nokris wasn't a heretic just a misbehaving child What do you guys think?

Necromancy is the highest crime for the hive. It directly contradicts everything they believe in. In the way of the hive, if you die, then you must have been too weak to survive. There are no second chances. He also spoke with the worm gods, which only oryx is supposed to do. His punishment was far worse than crota’s. It is confirmed in the hive campaign exotics that it was oryx who erased all records of him except the statue, not the vex.

  • Nokris is the only hive character that we know of to cheat the sword logic. This is the highest of laws in the hive society and Nokris’ workaround allowed defeated hive another chance. This is literally Nokris giving life like a little Christmas present. As seen in the Books of Sorrow, hive entities absolutely hate giving more than anything, as they believe it also is a workaround to the sword logic, so Oryx would most definitely be angered by Nokris’ practice.

  • <No stop I hate hearing this -blam!-ing thing. Vex erasure isn't complete. Nokris would still have references in the World's Grave if the Vex were responsible. Just like Praedyth did. And if they can't erase a meager light-wielder, then an ASCENDANT HIVE definitely won't be erased fully.>

The Hive treat necromancy as heresy because their entire existence is centered around death. The sword logic demands that if you can die, you deserve it. If you cannot die, you deserve to live. It is also pretty similar to Darwinism, as it also states that If you kill something, you prove you are more powerful than it. Necromancy destroys that concept because if you are resurrected from death, it creates a paradox in the sword logic, as you have been destroyed, but now still exist. If you killed something, and it was resurrected, are you still more powerful than it? Because the Hive are a very- religious- people and we know how people are when it comes to religion. The sword logic IS the Hive's religion, and creating a form of magic that creates a paradox in it will obviously upset the leaders of the Hive. Thus, Oryx banished Nokris for Heresy.
