How long until someone has "Inheritor"?
I am really wondering this. Considering how much people have been playing this, and the dedication of the Halo fanbase, I am wondering how long it will take for a legit one. I'm pretty sure no one has it now, but it is only a matter time.
I say two weeks, how about you guys, what do you think?

It will be months...maybe even well into Reach's second year. Commendations will dry up, slowing down progression. I doubt anyone is even a quarter of the way there yet. Farming really only gets you so far. Unless of course, Bungie starts double cR weekends. That will speed things up a ton.

[/quote] No, I stated in my post that it will take just under a year minimum EVEN IF THEY HIT CREDIT CAP DAILY. I know that the commendations dry up, but there are other ways to hit cap, and even if they do that EVERY SINGLE DAY it will still take just under a year. At some point, once you've gotten past silver on all the commendations, the only Cr you're going to get per match are your game completion, performance bonus, and slot machine.

Only a month in, I'm at Onyx in headshots in Firefight. In about two months, I don't expect to get any cR from headshots at all (I'll have hit the 20,000 headshot cap). At about six months, what are people that farm going to do? They certainly won't be able to get cR from heavy weapons in ONI: Swordbase or headshots in gruntpocalypse, and those are the biggest contenders for cR gain. Well, maybe not certainly. That's the question: how long until a farmer's completely drained his land of its nutrients?

Inheritor = 20,000,000 Daily Cr limit = 60,000 20,000,000 / 60,000 = 333.33~ So, in theory, it will take just under a year, assuming that you hit max rank cap every single day since launch. My average Cr is far below that, and I don't play every day. I also play more than just Halo, so I'm looking at somewhere in the 2-3 year range (i.e. - long after this game is collecting dust on a shelf).

Inheritor requires 20,000,000 Credits... I'll give it a few years for a legit inheritor rank, not the beginning of 2011.

I'd say it will take at least 135 days straight of playing considering to get Inheritor, you need to have earned 20 Billion credits total.

[/quote]To be fair, I was already a Lt Col G3 when I did the target designator thing. The reason, I wanted an Onyx commendation in Campaign. As you can see I pretty much stopped as soon as I got it too. There are more cR to gain from that utterly boring, but fast, approach but I'm done. And doesnt the term farm have something to do with harvest? I'm not in it for the cR, which in this case is the harvest. My Score Attack games are a substitute for multiplayer MM. Some like to fool around with other people online, I like to play Score Attack and foremost Sniper Attack. Some people are trying to get a high rating in the arena, a high k/d in compettive etc. I'm trying to max out the commendations in Firefight. We just have different goals and standards. Based on where I am, almost Lt. Colonel, at an average of 25,000 Cr a day, it'll take me about 2.2 years to reach Inheritor, and about 4,000 days with an average of 5,000 Cr a day.

well considering lt colonel is the highest rank right now...and ive had it for two weeks.
