Jun is the Master Chief?

MC was taken from a schoolyard, kidnapped by Halsey along with a ton of other "strong" kids, the ones that looked like they could be leaders. Jun is completely different from MC and, Jun actually goes to Shield World after he leaves Reach. Halsey dies of some disease or something like that. Jun has an unfortunate accident with some chemicals found on Shield and I don't know what happens next because I haven't read the book that far.

yes but the books are wrong because in the book it says that she meet john right no because it jorge then kat when her arm got blown off then they talk that she was gonna make a new suit and helmet if he changed his name and they went to earth instead of reach then the docter went back with a friend watching over jun(john)

SPOILERS AHEAD The game Halo:Reach, in it's entirety, is actually a lucid dream that the chief went in when he is in cryo at the end of halo 3 (legendary ending). The members all represent parts of the master chief's being, different emotions and traits that make up the chief. All of these (except jun, not sure about that yet) die for the greater good, representing how the chief has learned to balance his skills and emotions instead of being overly aggressive and showy (Emile) or foolishly heroic (Jorge). Notice how there are 6 spartans on Noble Team. Bungie very often alludes to the number 7 (7th column, achievements, challenges, possibly 117, etc.) and thats because master chief is actually the unseen 7th member, what Noble Team did (died for the greater good) made possible what the chief would do, and he also would have died had he been a polar extreme on the tactics/emotions scale like Noble Team. Doesn't anybody read the books? Doctor Halsey meets john when he is just a child and in order to test his vision/reflexes/whatever, she flips a coin in the air and asks him heads or tails. When the coin is about to land, john call out tails i think. He gets it right. oh and the book clearly calls him john. he never changed his name.
