And that's simply because of the raids, unlike warframe where they genuinely felt tacked on only to get removed later, the raids in destiny really does set itself apart, along with the fantastic moment to moment game-play in destiny, i honestly don't know how people can say warframe is better, and i have played both, as decent as warframe is, it just doesn't have that pull destiny has, especially when a new expansion gets released for destiny. This game really is the ULTIMATE looter shooter, nothing else comes close.

Edited by shanephoenix30: 2/3/2020 4:57:39 PMin warframe the swords ACTUALLY work they actually cut enemies in tiny little pieces and they aren't using ammo for swords

we can all agree on one thing though anthem is the worst thing to come to this game genre (right?)

to me, warframe and destiny are about equal in total fun. D2, as of forsaken, you run as a stormcaller, you're not just running around cosplaying Palpatine every time you pop your super any more. Instead, you're jumping up, silently starting the line from dragonball z that I can never remember the exact pronunciation and thus spelling of, and as you aim and pop, you can imagine your Guardian yelling "HAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!" as the beam of sheer Arc energy blasts out of your hand to melt everything not insanely powerful. Warframe? Say you're running stealth like me, you're sneaking around, finding an enemy and then throwing a Kunai into its brain, before retreating and rolling back and forth to charge up your damage to the full 1000 (took me a while to understand that), before sneaking out and seeing a much stronger enemy... and braining THEM with a Kunai. Or even a bow like I did last night with a warden in the once awake quest, I believe it was. It was the first Rescue mission of Mercury, put it that way. For destiny, your only option to get around fast is a 160 speed Sparrow.

I started playing Warframe several years ago, but quit fairly quickly because I just couldn't get into it. After Destiny 2 came out, I wasn't the most pleased with it. It was rushed out before all the content was even completed so they wouldn't lose their incentive payment for making their deadline. When CoO came out, I was excited, but quickly became bored and decided to give Warframe another try. To my surprise, they had changed a lot of the mechanics and how things work in the game. I was really enjoying it. With most of my friends having quit D2 and no one on from my clan any more, I stopped playing D2. In fact, I had my friend who is a hardcore raider try it and he hasn't played D2 since. The reason I quit playing D2 is because they screwed up and acknowledged it and have been continuing to make mistakes. Bugs where a strike will never drop something in the loot table? Guns that can demolish everything in PvP because of a bug? Honestly, people need to be fired if they are not testing and QA'ing things. I was a developer in a fortune 20 company and they never would have put up with that. When they do updates on Warframe, you get a message that you will have to log off and back one with the update. The servers are not off-line for hours on end which, if they had people that knew what they were doing, should NEVER happen. We would have to update our servers without taking any services off-line. That meant proper use of clustering and virtualization. Both games have their issues, but I think Bungie's are much greater at this point and I don't see them recovering anytime soon. The mod system in Destiny is... well, it really just isn't. In most cases, they have limited effect with the exception of raids. In Warframe, the mods can completely change a weapons capabilities. But with forma in Warframe, it is not efficient and should be scaled to loosing only like five ranks for each forma. I think that was implemented before they had so much content, however, which would have made sense earlier on. Same with waiting three days for a Warframe. However, Destiny also has made players wait, like in CoO where you could only get so many weapons from "crafting" in a week or in D1 where you would have to wait a week to get your weapon from the gunsmith. The crafting system in Warframe is much better than in Destiny, which really doesn't have one. You "craft" some things, but it really has no system. Clans in Destiny are limited in size, making them more difficult to find players online to complete tasks. Playing with randoms is not the best way to do raids and with the shrinking population, even when compared to end-of-life D1, it isn't as fun as it used to be. People are less patient if someone on the team is new to the raid and it seems people are much more hostile and demanding. I personally like helping people get through the raids and really like seeing them get good rewards out of it. But then the rewards have been lacking. I've given Bungie a lot of free passes. I just can't bring myself to continue the insanity. I see people posting here about how Warframe is inferior from people that have not played in two years, even though a lot has changed in that time. And there is the fact that many of the changes Bungie is making is to make the game more like Warframe, like changing the mod system and trying to make players feel powerful rather than just mediocre. Another issue I have with D2 is the fact that so many things they say are memory limitations and system limitations. But, why doesn't Warframe experience those? Why can Warframe and other games run at 60 fps and have amazing detail, and D2 cannot? And why are the PC and console versions for Warframe almost indistinguishable in Warframe and in D2, it is like two different games? If you play console in D2, you will be using different weapons than if you do in the PC version. That says something right there that there is a problem. The divergence should not be that large. Like I said, Warframe does have some issues, but DE is more willing to acknowledge mistakes and fix them and they don't seem to be as egregious as Bungie's. I've given them the benefit of the doubt too many times to be disappointed yet again. They should have just kept building on the original Destiny like Warframe, imo. Me and friends would go back to D1 after D2 was out to play the raids on there. But going back to it was a bit of a pain, so it didn't happen often. Sorry for the long post.

Here we go again...

LOL You haven't done any raids in Warframe ... have you? They are WAY BETTER than Fallus or the pathetic raid layers ... you shoot and kill things there in D2 you jump through hoops ...
-
Also Warframe just looks ugly. I tried to get past it, I did. It’s like zooming down the autobahn in a knockoff Tesla, it might be sorta kinda fun but something’s just...OFF

ULTIMATE looter shooter
Borderlands would like a word with you

11 RepliesIn that aspect, yes Destiny is better. Warframe has a MASSIVE learning curve which usually just deters more players. In terms of the "ULTIMATE LOOTER SHOOTER" i'd say Warframe comes on top. Warframe has a 1. Better loot system 2. Better Weapons 3. Better Story 4. Weapon Diversity 5. Weapons that actually FEEL powerful 6. Devs that are actually transparent with what they're doing to their game 7. Devs that listen to the community 8. Fair microtransaction system 9. Amazing cosmetics (Excluding a few) 10. A good mod system 11. You actually feel accomplished when doing things 12. it's free lol 13. You can get the in game currency fairly easily through grinding 14. Better fashion game than destiny
-
Keep telling yourself that. Every frame is basically a guardian with better powers and there are 30 or so. Every weapon can be modded how you want, make your own rolls. Tons of stuff to do and developers that actually like and respect their community. Most people that say these things try Excalibur, never get passed master rank 3 and probably don't even know what things like rivens are. I like Destiny and you might have had an argument with D1 but with D2 this is a joke.

1 ReplyBorderlands 2 is far better and the only reason I do not play any more is due to I’ve seen it so much a new looter shooter is needed, Destiny doesn’t come close to the ultimate looter shooter in my mind, nor does it or ever will it fill the shoes that Borderlands made, glad you like it though! Destiny definitely isn’t a benchmark in gaming!

Edited by N7_Dredgen: 5/16/2018 12:13:43 AMI'd say apples to oranges but this is literally worst than that. This is Apples to a cabbage. The two games are literally nothing alike. And Warframe has about 20x the content, if not more. So I could give a shit less about the raids. Atleast that game has some 300+ unique weapons... not 9 weapons reskinned 300 times like Destiny.

3 Replies0 upvotes, i guess you're wrong.

2 RepliesThere is no objective answer to this question, merely the subjective proclivities unique to each individual.

19 RepliesThe raids are a joke in Destiny 2 can't really even call them raids. More akin to just a longer nightfall or heroic strike. The Warmind update can't even be called an expansion, compared to other games that release expansions. The story for the Warmind update is short as hell, the playable area is slightly bigger then the first dlc. Warframe, The Division, and Borderlands(franchise) are much better looter shooters. Warframe may not have raids anymore. But they have many things D2 doesn't have. 1. build your class any way you want. 2. build your weapon any way you want. 3. different versions of weapons that offer certain buffs 4. crafting system 5. more places to explore 6. events that offer unique rewards 7. Dev's that actually talk to the community and have live streams weekly 3-4 times a week. 8. Things to grind for 9. Constantly adding new content to the game for free I could go on. But yea Warframe a game that is free to play that came out before Destiny is a much better game then Destiny will ever be until Bungie gets its head out of its own ass. Seriously hope you're just trolling, because if not then you have no idea what a good game is.

Gearbox wants to have a word with you

2 RepliesTime out, stop comparing two total different games
-
:/ well that’s the only thing destiny has to offer against Warframe.
-
5 RepliesBoth are fun games imo. I do wish D2 had more weapon customization like Warframe and The Division though.
-
1 ReplyYou're not allowed to say positive things about Destiny when comparing it to something else, haven't you heard? People will get triggered and downvote you.

7 RepliesBoarderlands beats the crap out of D2 in terms of loot shooter... Key is, the D2 "raids" are utter garbage. Gear looks terrible, most weapons are terrible, and they are more of a chore to do, IMO. Would rather be given the option to do them than be forced to, like D1Y3.

Plus 3rd person sucks

Sorry buddy, but that's not going to happen. I been here for a while, lot of fluff, no filling.

3 RepliesThanks for this god-tier bait post, It's really a thrill to read the comments lul.

11 RepliesLooter Shooter?!?!? Looter shooter?? you keep your Destiny crap .. im much happier when Im playing Warframe and just FYI i did their raids/trials in Warframe and dedicated player... and it was removed due to their design reasons which I agree were not the best designs. How many hours of WF have you played? Whats your MR that you would claim such things? After 10 hr of work - Me - 2 hrs of playing Destiny 2 - Get frustrated with pvp, squirm and frown and get disgusted. Play a 300 level raid where the enemies will scale to your level and you don't feel as powerful as you should be if you are 50 LL above them. Makes no sense to me. Me - 2 hrs into Warframe. Complete content with myself - actually shooting and looting and get 10x more stuff done and "LOOT" in 2 hrs of gaming. So ... no thanks. I'm here only to try the D2 raid after which .. this expansion ends and im done paying Bungie any of MY MONEY. I would rather spend it on a Prime.

ok i play warframe way longer than destiny and there is zero way that destiny even comes close to ever beating warframe. raids alone mean nothing as there is still alot to do in warframe. hell the player base alone is way higher than destiny at the current moment.
