100 sniper kills for the ornament would be ok if snipers were ENERGY weapons
But now I have to Scrounge up any power ammo I can find much to the dismay of my teamates who, with The Colony and a decent rocket launcher could put the power ammo to MUCH better use.
Bungie I'm on my knees begging you, PLEASE put Snipers back into the Energy slot, They just don't belong in the power slot.

Spawn into a area with a public event just about to start, touch pole, sit back. Time consuming but not impossible. I remember having to kill 100 hydra in D1 for my grimore and just sat up at some time gates with my shitebreaker.

2 RepliesYou need a total of 450 kills for Borealis: 150 Void 150 Sol 150 Arc That one has been fun. It took me like 350ish kills just to get the Tractor Cannon Masterwork.

Are you kidding me? Power ammo spawns everywhere on overlapping timers. Power ammo drops from enemies who have power ammo. There is plenty of ammo to find and use. Don't worry, I get it: if you can't do it in an afternoon, then it is "too hard" and "not fair" or whatever. There are legit problems with this game, but power ammo is certainly not one of them at this point.

Please, there is so much heavy ammo lying around out there that I laugh at your thinking. The real problem is guaranteed kills like colony and other explosives. If those were less viable, I'm quite sure you could go back to the glory days of sniping everyone in all the most enraging ways imaginable. Take off your rose colored glasses, man. Times weren't that much better You forget bungle has bungled their methods. They don't want you to get that reskin ornament in a day, or even a week. They want you to play a couple of matches every single day. They want you to play this crap the way they wanna play this crap: as little as possible. That way nobody remembers they bungled the content. That's why I call them bungle

It a approximately 107 day still September that's literally 1 sniper kill a day with 7 free days not to play. You are telling me you cant get 1 kill a day then change weapons.

3 RepliesIf your complaining about only 100, just wait till you get your Darci catalyst. Best solution I found for my Darci, go to Futurescape (Bray) run the public events concentrating on getting heavy drops. Then just run the hive near the entrance to the Lost Sector. Once you use all your ammo go restock on the PE drops. Make sure you take out the High Value targets for the heavy drop then on your last stock up just run the Lost Sector (DON'T RUN THE LOST SECTOR BEFORE YOU USE ALL YOUR HEAVY DROPS OR YOU"LL LOOSE THEM) by the time you come back up there should be a new PE ready for you. Plus if someone starts an Escalation event again run it for heavy drops as probability is you will be running with people which will not get you a level clear anyways. Rinse and repeat a couple of times and you'll get your Darci MasterWork.

18 RepliesNope, snipers belong exactly where they are. D1 crucible was a shit show with everyone maining a sniper, it completely changed the dynamics of the game for the worst. Think people stand back and team shoot too much as it is? Give everyone a sniper and see how much worse it gets.

there should be a grind to get the ornament. 100 sniper kills with ammo constantly would probably take like an hour of crucible. i think rocket launchers need to have their velocity toned down severely to be in the same slot as sniper rifles. in halo rockets could be power weapons as well as snipers because rocket travel time was very slow and took a fair amount of skill to know how to properly place rockets. but in destiny high velocity rocket launchers do not make sense in the same slot as snipers.

From the very first moment Bungie have been treating snipers in D2 exactly like they were in D1 totally missing the fact that they needed to compensate for them moving to the heavy slot. They needed a damage buff and a much larger ammo reserve, this has started to happen now, but its way overdue.

Tell me about it, I got the Tractor cannon one and most of the enemies I shoot point-blank just fly further away.

1 ReplyRelax. I hadn't fired a single sniper shot in the crucible for destiny 2, but after a few games I'm on 19. The teams I've been on probably hate me, and I don't think I got a win but still. It's a good change of pace and to be honest, it's quite fun. Even for a sniper loathing player like me.
